I stayed for 2 nights, and it's really a nice hotel. I like the location, it's perfectly in caldera, and I had a fantastic view from my room. The staff is really nice, she gave me awesome itinerary and information. My room is upgraded as well, so I paid for single bed room, but I stayed in executive room. It's the most pleasant stay ever.

we got a surprising free upgrade from studio to traditional cave house. that was super awesome ! definately will try stay there again for our next visit.

the location was brilliant - right at the start of Fira and just a very short walk away from the market, the bus station and taxi stand.....the rooms and terrace had a beautiful view and the staff was very friendly and helpful ....overall it was an excellent experience !!!

Location is virtually in the heart of Fira with lots of shops and restaurants nearby Views were great from the shared terrace area Our cave apartment was huge! Breakfast was very nice Staff were very friendly and helpful

Lots of stairs which was ok for us but perhaps not suitable for others. They do have porters to help with heavy luggage though. No private balcony for our apartment (some have private balconies though).

Friendly reception and a great location right at the top of the Caldera cliff. Good breakfast and great views.

Tiny bathroom and our room was right outside the terrace where breakfast was served, so not much privacy, although this small hotel is more about mixing with other guests and enjoying the views than top notch facilities.

Great location right on the caldera. We got upgraded to a cave room which was huge. We were met at the airport and then our luggage carried down the 108 stairs-definitely recommend this. Also right above accomodation is lots of shops and restaurants so everything is really close.

Would of loved a private courtyard but that's just being picky. It was in general really great (and really great value for money)

Hotel had an amazing location right on the caldera, which is a must for Santorini. Just not worth the experience without it. People pay big money to eat at restaurants to get the same view you have from your hotel. Great staff that were nice and spoke English. Excellent continental breakfast. Reasonable price. Right in the mix of things near the golden road. They had air conditioning.

Friendly staff and very informative. Good location- literally a minute away from the busy city centre where you can shop, drink, eat, and enjoy Fira. Great views looking straight ahead to the Volcano and the Caldera and Oia to the right.

-Slightly dated decor - Internet can play up at times, but I would say thats due to the cement walls (often the case in many of the Greek Island hotels I've stayed in).

Everything is wonderful and the staff Elena and Kostes were really friendly and helpful. The hotel is exquisite and has a superb view at the breakfast terrace.

very friendly, helpful and caring staff. not particular about nitty gritty stuff. had 3 free upgrades from standard double to cave apartment. scenic view of sunset and volcano. quiet and peaceful. panoramic caldera sunset view. right along gold street where main shoppers go.

steps down were slippery. recommend to apply/paste "3M anti-slip mats" (they're corrugated stickers that can prevent mishaps). breakfast was not disappointing - ala carte set of bread, fruits, yoghurt and a drink.

The location of the hotel is simply amazing! Just in front of Fira we have a wonderful and disputed view. I can't descrie how beautiful it is. The staff was also very helpful and the breakfast was delicious.

Its all about the view so as you arrive and go thru the picture frame entrance its a wow feeling:) reception staff fabulous , friendly, helpful Great feel as Kavalari is built into the cliff. Amazing sitting on balcony it terrace at any time watching the view or lustening to the stillness or the donkey bells or the church bells. Lots if steps everywhere but that us Santorini and bit if fitness does us all good:) good continental bfast on the terrace and many cafes and restaurants immediate vicinity or a further walk along the cliff. Enjoy every amazing sunset I will be back :)

Great location - lovely setting in the midst of Santorine. Very helpful staff. We were delighted to get an upgrade. We enjoyed our one night at this tasteful, quiet hotel. We would recommend this hotel.

Santorini is very busy in August.

Great hotel built on the cliffs overlooking the sea. Magnificent view. It is a very tidy, well kept and well run hotel with great staff. Location is perfect for shopping, dining and sunset view.

Perfect location for the Santorini experience. The views are exceptional.

All the steps didn't bother us, the views were worth it but if you are not agile, it could be a concern. Note there are no elevators.

The staff at the reception was very kind enough to help us with wat ever we asked him and the last day he had moved us to a bigger room.

Dint get the room we wanted for the first two nights though and it was small for two people.

It is located in the middle of everything, the island, the shopping, restaurants, the view...the staff were very friendly and always helping with directions and suggestions...

A pool wouldn't hurt! In Santorini you walk and sweat all day so it would be great to have somewhere to splash in after a long day.

Stunning location and lovely terrace where breakfast was served. Staff very friendly -complimentary bottle of wine in the fridge -which we enjoyed at sunset on our terrace.

The people in the room next door hung their washing out over our terrace!

Good location, very beautiful and spacious room, can see the caldera view in the room without getting outta bed! Nice bathroom with jacuzzi. Hotel is in the middle of everything. Many restaurant and bars nearby.

It was Fantastic!! The man at the frontdesk was very friendly and helpful, We had to move our booking because we didn't find place on the ferry and they did it fast and no extra cost. The rooms were located in a perfect place in the city. The view is fantastic!!!! Great place, great value!!!!

Because is in the very center of the town, it gets a bit loud, so you have to close all windows to avoid the noise and you can not feel and hear the ocean and the wind. It is not the Hotel's fault, but it would be fantastic if is not that noisy!!!

Second stay at the Kavalari and you can't beat it for value and location if you love the photogenic cliff side views of the Caldera in Thira. Very nice breakfast served to your table with a view. Staff very helpful with luggage and information.

It is built on a cliff so be prepared to 'hike' up the steps. I'm 70 years old and managed it fine, but could be a problem for anyone with physical disabilities. Worth the exercise!!!

The view is absolutely amazing from the balcony, the breakfast terrace, the stairs up to the reception, simply everywhere. We stayed there only for three nights and felt we didn't really take advantage of the great view. Have heard watching the sunset from the balcony is beautiful but we didn't do that. The male receptionist was very friendly.

Breakfast could be improved with wider choices. No egg, no meat at all, only bread, butter, orange juice, fruits and coffee. Perfect for veggies. Considering the room rate with nice view, it's understandable though.

Everything about this hotel was exceptional. The staff was the friendliest and the room was divine (even energy saving). The continental breakfast on the terrace was amazing. Every aspect of the Kavalari hotel is worth bragging about, and I can't wait to return to experience it all again.

There was a miscommunication about a pick up from the port and we were among the last to find a taxi: a bad beginning. They need to work on that. Also, better directions on finding it.

location - amazing views and sunset - terrace - and friendliness of the staff. This is wonderful medium size hotel in the right location in Firi overlooking the calderazo rim - seeing the ships come and go and gazing out over the beautiful Agean sea. Five nights and days were wonderful. Breakfast also served with elegance on one of the terraces

nothing really - one has to be careful with the hotwater use - switch on around 15 mins before shower - but no problem
