This was a very nice hotel with a spacious room. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very quiet despite being located on a relatively busy street near the train station. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. The hot and cold breakfast was awesome and offered so many gourmet delicacies that we couldn't even try them all. There were other elegant touches such as a sweet cake in the room and candy on the pillows upon arrival and candies in the lobby. .

It is perfectly located, just 2 blocks from the train stations and Cologne's cathedral. The decoration of the hotel is simple, but elegant, really good taste. I loved the charm and charector of this hotel. The breakfast buffet was incredible, better than the other hotels we stayed at in Europe. The staff was very helpful and friendly. If we find ourselves back in Cologne we will return to this hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. A lovely, comfortable room, with cake to welcome me! A good, central location close to the Hauptbahnhof and the Dom, but not too noisy. I was only here for one night but I would definitely recommend this hotel. What a shame it didn't have at least 20cm more in width!. being typically and boringly english, tea/coffee making facilities in room would have been nice, but not vital. My room is very small and the bathroom in hallway is about airplane size. A little bit noisy at night, can hear people talking next door. BATHROOM IN THE CORIDOR AND SMALL. Small room. Carpets were a bit dirty & separate bathroom was tiny. Walking up two flights if stairs to room. Small bathroom. Very strong audibility of neighbors and creaky floors. Very uncomfortable beds, besides separate, which is not comfortable for a couple.
