It was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at...small but with a soul. We were met by the receptionist and led to our room. He showed us around and gave all the required information. The staff were polite and friendly at all times. Breakfast was not very rich but the service was superb. The location is perfect...just next to the station and the Cathedral. Staff was most helpful. Breakfast included a variety of fruit, cold cuts, breads and beverages. Very close to the Dom and Altstadt. Easy walk from the Bahnhof. Internet connection was fast. I will stay in this hotel next time I visit Köln.

I chose this hotel partly because of wi-fi access and when I arrived I was told that it wasn't working, these things happen but it was frustrating as I then had to leave the hotel to find access elsewhere. The approach was rather shabby as there was construction work all the way from the railway to the hotel which made walking rather difficult. However this affected all hotels in the vicinity and it will be fine when the work has finished. The bathroom was just a tiny bit cramped, but not a deal-breaker. Not really ideal for the disabled...........very small lift and lots of stairs (which at least kept us very fit!).Pity it's still separated from the railway station by seemingly interminable roadworks, not that it affects the quality of the hotel. Doesnt look impressive from outside, but all good inside.The parking is expensive (15 EU per night). You should have mentioned the construction going on between the train station and the hotel. The total cost was 10 Euros more than I saw on the website, why ?. Since there are some cooking facilities inside the room, why not some pots and pans as well? But that's a minor detail. The hotel is fantastic!. it is a good hotel for business people, not for lovers -. No. Breakfast room is a little bit small but service is good. Also there were smells coming from breakfast room to floors, (something to improve with air exctraction maybe in the kitchen). The air conditioning. One big bed needs a big duvet and not two small. The kitchenettes had no utensils. Correct this, and it is a 10/10 hotel.
