This hotel is a true gem in the city of Cologne. Close to the main railroad station, the cathedral, and in the heart of the city, the hotel offers outstanding accommodations at a bargain price. Family-owned, it offers a splendid breakfast buffet, personal attention from the staff and the owners, and tastefully decorated and updated rooms. Highly recommended!!. location was excellent, so close to the train station. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room rate was a good one considering a city like Cologne. The owners were really friendly, the breakfast excellent value, the location good and the bed extremely comfortable. The room wasclean and comfortable, the hosts were more than helpful with advice,pleasant manner and willingness to help, allowing me to store my bicycleand wash it. But there was some information reagarding child stay which was not quite clear to me when I booked the two beds room. The rule only said that " All children under 10 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.All older children or adults are charged EUR 15. the bathrooms were not in the room, that is a bit uncomfortable, but for my short stay it was my decision.I shared a single bathroom with the 7 other rooms on my floor. basic facilities for restrooms and shower.I was very happy with the Hotel.only minor problem for My was that, there was no possibility to get some hot drink outside the breakfast hours.It would be very nice to get some Tee or Coffee. Shared bathrooms a bit small. We had some problems about the smell of the smooking rooms coming to our room. The isolation is not very good. Showers could be improved too, some problems with water getting cold once in a while and about adjusting the height, the screws from some showers were kind of loose. No fully non-smoking floors, meaning there was still a slight smell of smoke in air.But there was some information reagarding child stay which was not quite clear to me when I booked the two beds room.
