This is a design hotel with many great amenities. We were in a junior suite, but really like the fact that both the shower and the toilet were in a separate cubicle from the rest of the bathroom. There is also a bar in the hotel, which is open till reasonably late and which serves great cocktails and also has a wonderful selection of high-quality drinks (German fruit brandies, whiskies etc.). The bed was also of good quality, and there was plenty of cupboard and wardrobe space as well.
all reviews » I received a great welcome when I arrived and the staff were very helpful and accommodating throughout my stay. The hotel has all the facilities I needed (in-room wifi, room service, taxi call service, etc) and met my expectations. The room was functional, but contemporary in design with a huge bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Conveniently located for Messe Berlin and very central for getting around. Very clean hotel, modern rooms with cool mirrored walls, excellent shower, all staff were superb and always extremely helpful. Also as it was my birthday we were surprised with champagne cake and fruit platter when we returned to the room one evening. Spa and pool facilities were a nice relaxing place to chill out after a long Days walking. Couldn't be better!. I loved the facilities especially the main lobby and lounge, great place to hang out in an ultra modern designed space. The rooms are very clean and the shower was amazing. I really liked that there were instructions on how to connect my iPod to the TV to play my music. Also the metro station is literally across the street which was a great plus. The SANA BERLIN HOTEL is very near to the underground and some attractions of the city, The room was large and really clean. The staff were friendly and ready to help me. In the hotel there is also the spa but I didn't have time to visit it. In conclusion I think it is a good hotel. I have stayed in many hotels all over the world and am usually very critical. However, I thought the Sana Hotel was one of the best. Very modern, clean, quiet, great location and the most wonderful staff. The sauna/swimming pool area was spotless. Good location, close to a metro station (not a well connected subway line, but combining with other lines is easy), and a few blocks away from Ku'damm street. Its a very modern & trendy hotel. Large, & well furnished rooms. Room had a massive TV, a fast wi-fi connection and all the create comforts you can expect in a good 4* hotel. The hotel has a great city centre location and is very handy for people who like to shop. The location is very good: 5 minutes walking to KaDeWe and to the main street(in front of KaDeWe there is a bus touristic stop). Very good hotel and nice value for money/quality. No issues with other staff and it would not stop me from coming back to this hotel. The TV is a bit hard to turn on (behind a swish screen, so you have to point the remote at one specific spot or it won't work) and the shower stopped working on one of the days. It started back up again, but perhaps it needs a bit of maintenance. Nothing. The only downfall about Sana Berlin is their internet WiFi connection. It was really poor in the rooms and kept dropping, we had to keep going to the lobby downstairs to be able to use the internet for long periods of time. There is a glass wall between the bathroom and the bedroom so you can't have reservedness when you are over the washbasin. Besides the corridor to come at the bedroom is too dark. Nothing at all!!. The fitness room, although nice, is a bit small, and the treadmills at the end of the room receive not much ventilation. My room was not as 'sound proof' as I had hoped. Was often disturbed by hotel guests getting in/out of the elevator. This was not a major issue. Everything was good. lack of space in the relaxing area of the sauna. No tea-making facilities in room but this is the norm I believe in Germany - the germans are not as obsessed with tea (ie black tea) as the Irish!. The TV remote battaries were low, had to ask for replacement. Pickled cucmber in a tin-can I found in the mini bar was way too much expencive. Caution!). I liked the glass partitioned bathroom, it's really cool. However, transparent bathroom may be not suitable for someone who desires more intimacy. Nothing to dislike. We were provided with a smoking room and the smell in the room is not good for non-smoking travelers. as of now: nothing at all. ...that we didn't get the chance to eat at their restaurant. It looked sooo inviting. Nothing negative to say about our stay at SANA. Some basic things in the suite are missing, like tea cups, kettle, iron, ironing board, telephone in the living room. Weak wifi signal in our room. Parking is not free. The only down side was the low seats and bed in the room. tucked away in a neighborhood, but if you don't mind planning ahead for the quiet hours and walking a few blocks here and there for services like bank machines, it's ok. I did not take the breakfast, not bad but too expensive for what they offer, many restaurants and cafés nearby. Everything was excellent!. Nothing. - wellness could be cleaned also few hours before closing. At 10 pm there was a lot of used towels; also it was quite noisy - if you want to use wifi at the room you had to ask reception for a voucher. It would be much easier if the password was in the room. The hotel wifi is deplorable anywhere in the hotel except the lobby. The hotel really needs to work to boost the signal and make sure it's available in all rooms. Wifi didn't work on 6th floor Beds a bit hard. - small cupboard;. Entire interiors were so dark that it was often uncomfortable and unnerving. Internet was not in service for more than two full days. wifi did not reach our room, and that is BAD when the hotel announces free wifi in all rooms. Nothing all good. swimming pool very small not worth getting in to. the day i went there, the U3 is closed. It takes me more time to get there since it was my first time in berlin and I can only speak English. however, it not the hotel's problem!. need somewhere to hang the towel! Couple of stains on floor Bedrooms only lamp lit so a bit dark - part of the concept I believe!. Bathroom had what seemed to be dirty spots left on the toilet floor. WiFi weak on top floors, had to change rooms. While a lovely aroom design, it is tough to get direct lighting in most areas. Bath has great direct lighting on expansive vanity counter, but tough to see yourself in mirrors. . Some tiny details: - no any hook at the bathroom, no way to hang a towel. - too small wardrobe for two persons staying more than 3 days. - free wifi in the room but you had to enter login and password every time you entered internet. - cosy Portuguese restaurant for a dinner, good food but overpriced and small portions compared to restaurants in the same district. not much storage space for luggage. there were framings on the wall that I was hoping would open for storage or closet space. Bed was hard. TV remote was difficult to use from any distance due to heavy glass in front of tv. Bathroom had clear glass into bedroom-you could see what person in bathroom was doing. Spotty mini-bar service. No openers, missing glasses, no refills. Everything was good.
