It's a cheap hostel that has great location- very close to the S-bahn (S5, S7, S75), U-bahn (U1), some trams and there's 24h supermarket (Kaisers) in front of the hostel. Rooms are clean, pretty big and heaters fortunately works. It's a tenement house but it's really nice. You share the bathroom with only 2 rooms. You can storage your luggage before you check-in and after you check-out. The people at the reception are pretty friendly.

Staff was very helpful and useful, they advice us many time exactly to locations we wanted and we were pleased with that. It was perfect for those who want to save a bit of the budged in living. The price for a double bed room was unbeatable. The location is great (good connection to underground / S-Bahn plus it is in the party district of Berlin), there is a 24h grocery right across the street and two rental bike options nearby. Staff was very friendly. The staff here are very responsible, especially during the time I've got a serious stomachache and fever at midnight, although they didn't have medicine, they help me find out the nearest pharmacy and call a taxi to bring me there. 1. Location - very popular place, close to everything (SBahn, bars, food, stores, shops, Berlin Wall) 2. huge room with real double bed and very nice furnace 3. late check-out - 10 EUR. Location Value for money: 150 euros/5 nights. Big room. Not noisy at all despite being in a big street (at least in the third floor). I would repeat the experience for this price. I should have access to the wi-fi in my room but I could only use the internet at the lounge in the reception. The door in my room was kind of broken because it was hard to close them (they were still opening). I didnt like that as we ordered double bed we god two beds which were combined next to each other. It would have been okay but the beds moved a lot if you moved in them so for example having sex in the middle of the bed would have been impossible. The wifi worked sometimes in the room. Even though we didnt stay there for too long but if it is marketed that we have wifi it should work then dont you agree?. The first day for some reason I didn't have hot water in the shower, the other days there was no problem. The stairs are a little bit revolting with all the scribbling and graffiti on it (but the room and the facilities are OK). The Wi-Fi signal was too weak in the room. The room was quite small. There is no wifi in the room. We need to go to the public living room to surf on the internet. But the connection is excellent. 1. Toilet and shower are in the same tiny room (one for the whole floor). There is no trash bin in it 2. 4% extra-fee in case you pay with credit card 3. 10 EUR for key-deposit - you will get it back when you're leaving, of course in case you didn't lose the key and the special paper. We put down the mattrix on the floor beacuse the base was too soft. The shared bath in the third floor is not good at all. The toilet is true that it smell and the shower flooded. Initial impression not so good: name sign outside smashed, stair walls inside hostel covered with graffiti, but the things that matter - room and toilet - were clean and fine. If i`m being really fussy, could have done with bigger/more towels. The facade of the Goldmarie is offputting because of all the graffitti but most of berlin is covered in graffitti...!!!!. The music from local clubs was very loud but only on a Saturday night. The toilet paper was Ways missing or never replaced when we mentioned it to the staff. The room smelled really bad. A bit noisy. The bathrooms can be a bit dirty at some moments, but its not so bad all the time. no elevators, the shower leaked out from the bottom. I would have liked a curtain in the bathroom. sometimes the bathroom was disgusting. Little bit dirty in toilets. No kitchen. They take 4% fee for paying credit card!. They said check in is from 11h to 16h, at 11h they knocked on my door and said that they can't give me the key deposit back! So I stayed there until 16h!. Ceiling whitewash in the room was flaky. Entrance system with having to ring the bell each time 4% for each payment with card, even for key deposit!. cold temperature because of large area of the room, but only for 2 persons. Sheets,they were dirty,district,where hotel located is too awful.I don't know how to explain.Always was afraid to get to hotel from the station. A bit better quality bed. The toilets and the bathroom were small, difficult to use them; some corridors were dirty and really ugly; and the more curious was the facade of the building: at first we were wonder if our hotel was really the one we have booked. No towels for the room and no paper toilets for the toilets. I didnt like the location coz it was dirty,noisy and scary to walk around. The building is very old and the WC+shower were 1 floor downstairs. Durty enterance, very little room. Endurable for 1 night only. Too poor furnishings, small wardrobe, no presence of chairs or armchairs in the room. Staff. Girl who recieved us was very rude. Not much the signage is confusing so just pay attention. everything was great. Very shabby and run-down looks, supposed to reflect old East German ambient. Staff was friendly but seemed a bit helpless on standard matters. Shared bathroom was not in the best state (shower was getting fungus). Very long ways to walk (four floors without elevator). Wifi only in reception, no breakfast. graffiti everywhere. not very appealing on outside. How the rooms were furnished, general dilapidated look of the hotel interior, which is, I think, supposed to be 'cool' and 'retro' for the backpacking crowd. -staff not so friendly... Shared bathroom was very small with one toilet and one shower per floor, no kitchen, no mirror in bedroom. The staff were new and rooms did not have numbers on them. Not even the staff could find the room they have given us the key for. A little cold in the room. Hallways were very scruffy, and the bathrooms were horrible. The showers leaked all over the floor.
