We adored the ambience and feel of the hotel. The bar was divinely intimate and lit for lovers like us in mind, the reception area was so beautiful and our superior room was well appointed too with grand windows covered in miles of sumptuous fabric. The staff were outstanding and friendly and the bathroom amenities definatly reminded us we were staying in Paris. We loved the decor of the Regina and even though there was renovations happening, we were not at all inconvenienced by them. Our stay.

Our rooms ( looking over Place des Pyramides/Rue de Rivoli ) were spacious and spotless offering fine expansive views taking in the Eiffel Tower and Louvre, two Paris icons - what's not to love?! Regina's staff were very friendly and accommodating helping to make the stay there was most enjoyable. Am not able to comment on food at the hotel as we ate out at all times. Our view of the Tuileries Garden was fantastic with the Eiffel Tower in the distance. Although it was on a very busy street, we slept extremely well in their comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly. The best part was that the concierge helped us with two reservations at top restaurants before we even arrived!. Noise from people in the next room. The walls seem rather thin although these people were loud! To be fair, they did respond to a bang on the wall and turned the tv, if not their voices, down. Not a major issue though!. It would have been good to know the choices for meals. We had no restaurant menu in our room and had to ask the front desk. We had a disappointing room service breakfast one morning but were happy with the selection when we went down to the breakast room. Extremely expensive drinks at the bar, but that is Paris!. Too expensive breakfasts:nothing new or extra on the price of 32 € ... too much of Chinese tourists; they are so loud... Air conditioning not very efficient and did not adequately cool rooms exposed to sun! However, for the most part, room temperatures were comfortable since weather was generally cool. We travelled with two small children, and were a little disappointed at the limited food and room-service options, given that we had to retire early each night with the children. More food availability and a wider menu would be great!. I woldn't stay if I didn't have the view because for the price you pay you could get better deals in the same location. The bed was very small for two people. Prices for cocktails were about us $25 each. So we didn't use the bar, although wine was more reasonably priced. Price of breakfast and some noise from the streets. No issues. Paid for a superior room which was very small. No kettle ( I'm English ffs!!). Pricey, but worth it. The current renovation work but the hotel does need it. No airco in the lobby. Please give the staff a cool work environment. View was not as expected after looking at advertisement. Bed was too hard. Cost - breakfast buffet 32 euros pp but we walked to a cafe. Bar service less than outstanding given high price and itsambience spoiled by noisy americans - not the hotel's fault!. Although it was mentioned that no pre-deposit is required, the hotel blocked as a guarantee the cost of one night. When we arrived, the amount was still blocked and we have used it at the end of our stay for payment. Therefore, although it is mentioned "payment later" you actually "pay" this amount blocked which you can not use until deblocked or used for payment. The breakfast was very expensive and pretty ordinary. The ambience was unwelcoming and the several staff were mainly unfriendly and inattentive considering there were very few people having breakfast.It is a beautiful hotel but it didn't feel as welcoming as I would have expected or have received at other hotels. There is nothing not to like. We had to change rooms as the "queen size bed" was really to small and we had to take a suit (which costed a lot more) as the hotel could not put us in another similar category. Having to check out. No mini-bar in standart rooms, problems with air-condition. the decoration of the corrigors. 20 euros for a simple breakfast buffet was offensive. shower. A bit old. Street noise. The entire hotel was covered by scaffolding and the work began early. We did not know about the work. The rooms were very old and extremely hot. The restaurant was not open for lunch or dinner and the bar food was heated in the microwave. Very pricey for the amenities. The breakfast was very expensive for what was provided. The bar closed at 10pm. There was no restaurant serving dinner. There was a total lack of atmosphere. No kettle and mini bar... noisy. When we arrived to the Hotel they told us that there was no suitable room for us, because we brought our 5-year old child with us. The reception offered us a suit whose rent was 3 times more expensive than what we reserved. Therefore we reserved another hotel in Paris by telephone. When they saw that we found another place to stay in Paris, asked us to stay in the same room we reserved online. That is a pity for a so-called "Hotel". Under construction. Noisy, with scaffolding surrounding the building. Way over priced for the facility.
