I liked virtually everything about Hotel Mayet. The rooms are well laid- out, with very modern bathrooms. The petite dejeuner included considerable variety (yogurt and cereal, fruit, in addition to croissants). Best of all, the staff was so helpful, in giving directions, making restaurant recommendations and reservations, etc. The staff was very friendly as well. The hotel was in a great location, in a nice neighbourhood right near Duroc metro and walking distance from the Eiffel tower. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful, with a 24 hour reception. The hotel was spotless - our room was very clean and well designed. Tea and coffee facilities in the rooms and free wifi was great.

Very close to the subway - it's very convenient to get to other parts of the city and the airport. Close to shops and inexpensive restaurants. Finally a comfy bed and pillows in a hotel, and the air conditioning was a real plus as the only window opened onto an air shaft. Cute and useful but somewhat over decorated touches in the room design. But I prefer these over the middle class minimalism of most places these days. The shower was excellent. Great friendly and very helpful reception staff. All rooms and bathrooms refurbed in last couple of years. Small rooms /bath room that is typical for Paris. Close to Duroc metro line 10 which well connected line. Close to good food locations like Rue cherche midi. Highly recommended. We loved this hotel. No bad things to say. I like being in Paris. The only thing I would change about Hotel Mayet to make it perfect would be to have slightly larger bedrooms. That said, the rooms are larger than those in some other Paris hotels, and also well laid out. As I said earlier, I especially appreciated the modern, attractive bathroom. The walls were very thin and you could hear everything going on around the hotel - as we were on the second floor we could even hear the staff preparing breakfast downstairs, which woke me up. There were also workmen working literally outside our window, which meant we couldn't open the curtains or they would be able to see in. If I were to stay again, I would definitely ask for a room on a higher floor. The window onto the air shaft, but it was pretty quiet as a consequence :-). In Paris on a budget there is always a trade off, and it is usually a small room like this. AC makes some noise (split type) which gives some discomfort...however this wouldn't stop us from returning... There was nothing to dislike. While this is not a big problem, the hotel does not gave a real lobby, especially when the lobby is conerted into the breakfast room. Room advertised as having a 'courtyard view' which consisted of a huge brick wall one metre from the window - very disappointing. Small bath towels and a very short bed for anyone over six foot tall. Loud area Thin widows Mattress not the best. It's a very "petite" hotel, quite pokey in the rooms and halls!!. the shower area was very very small. room was small too. I lost my Money but not on the hotel.
