This hotel was so special and a perfect fit for my trip. Each room was uniquely decorated and it was like staying at a bed and breakfast more than a hotel, especially with the wonderful service of the front desk. I have been to Paris twice prior, and many other cities in Europe and have never stayed at a hotel with a nicer staff. It will definitely be where I stay next time!!!. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel de la Motte Picquet. Therooms were typical of Europe--no larger, no smaller. However, the staffat the hotel, Sandra and Mo, were absolutely fabulous. They both spokeEnglish well, went out of their way to be friendly and to help us locatevarious places we wanted to go in Paris, and they made us feel more likefamily than regular guests.

I became ill while in Paris, and they even took care of me while my husband was away on business. Everything! The location was perfectly located eating, shopping and the Metro. Would prefer more choice for breakfast, i.e. hot food as well as continental. Inconsistent internet access. Everything else was fine. I found the heating a bit too high, but was unable to turn it down. The internal noise proofing is not the best.Not really. Didn't expect luxury. Traffic noise. Internet was down during the weekend and no one could fix it, was fix the day I was checking out. Also noise from the cleaners in the morning, they kept talking very loud in the corridor (Saturday and Sunday morning). not too much of a free space everywhere inside, however this seems to be a standard in Paris. Small room. Noise from Metro as trains passed through area. Noise from construction of store below hotel.The bed was very uncomfortable. And the third morning of my stay, a Saturday, I was awoken before 9 a.m. by the sound of three men ripping up the hall and stair carpet, scrapping off old glue from the floor, and laying new glue (the smell of which wafted into my room) and carpet, all day. The beds were very poor. If they invested in decent beds, I would consider another stay here.The bed was hard. Room a little small, but this is standard for Paris. NB. Hotel is 2-star according to French Government classification.
