  Great hotel in a lively and interesting part of Paris. Cafes, Creperies and other nightlife surround the hotel. It's a fairly short walk from Montparnasse train station and an even shorter walk to the closest Metro. Our room was small but comfortable. The large, clean bathroom was lovely as was having a separate toilet for once! Staff were friendly and helpful, and if you are travellin - exellent location in the heart of Montparnasse, in a lively neighborhood with iconic Parisian streetscapes. Just a hop, skip and a jump from the Montparnasse station, one metro line stops right at the corner and many more within a block's distance. Friendly English-speking and helpful staff, breakfast delivered to the room, nice and clean rooms, good bath; my room had a great balcony to sit in and breath the city air. For the business traveller there is a small but functional desk to work on. A

Only 4.5 ks from the Eiffel Tower & the same from the louvre. Probably one of the cheapest hotels in Paris.

Don't despair, some of the best bakeries in Paris are all within a two block radius of the hotel and McDonald, if you can handle it, is right next door. The value for quality is excellent in a city where you often have to pay top price for mediocre accomodations and service. My room this time (302) was very quiet and facing the courtyard. Free - Hotel du Home Moderne is an excellent value, clean and comfortable with modern amenities. We were particularly impressed with the staff. Guillume and Jennifer, who manned the front desk, were outstanding. They always went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. At the buffet breakfast, Lore managed the breakfast room with efficiency and good humor. We also enjoyed the non-touristy neighborhood, which has lots of little shops and cafes and is conveniently located near transportation.

It is clean well priced for a city hotel with lots of local cafes and shops to buy food in.
