  I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It is very secure building and excellent value for money. David was very helpful to welcome us and arrange everything we needed. Metro is around 10-15 minutes walk but convenience stores like 'Family Mart' (which I believe is 24H) is just close by. There is also plenty choice of local restaurants. Definitely recommended for price and location. - The location is OK - Nanjing West Road metro station is around 10 minutes walk. The entrance to the apartments are located on the back of the building. You have to call from reception to the guy responsible for rooms and then he comes. It can take some time. The apartment is OK if you do not need much assistance because there is no reception/nobody to help you. Otherwise the room is modern & nice. The view from the roof is super (the house has 29 floors).

Being a small boutique hotel, there's no crowd, it's always peaceful and quiet. Rooms are self-sufficient, everything I needed, from a safe to the ironing board, is there. There's also a laundry room with washing powder provided. As mentioned by another reviewer, the free flow drinks and cakes at the lobby is great feature.

  It had a really nice view over the Bund. Everything was white and clean. Staff was really attentive and they helped us on our problems with a lost passport. It had a washing machine. The kitchen, while not spectacular, is quite adequate for a short stay. Hotel room was clean and cozy in minimalistic style. Breakfast offers in a cafe and contain about 10 different options. There is a good local network cafe Wagas near the hotel where there is western food and good coffee for China. Check in and check - The hotel is one of the better one in shanghai for the money. Staff try very hard to make your stay enjoyable. While English is poor from some of the staff we managed to work out what I wanted. I had the bellboys get cabs for me in the pouring rain and did it with a smile. There are two restaurants in the building that are both very good quality but I would have to say the element fresh was very good value for money and the food was fantastic. Great hotel and would stay there again.
