  I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It is very secure building and excellent value for money. David was very helpful to welcome us and arrange everything we needed. Metro is around 10-15 minutes walk but convenience stores like 'Family Mart' (which I believe is 24H) is just close by. There is also plenty choice of local restaurants. Definitely recommended for price and location. - The location is OK - Nanjing West Road metro station is around 10 minutes walk. The entrance to the apartments are located on the back of the building. You have to call from reception to the guy responsible for rooms and then he comes. It can take some time. The apartment is OK if you do not need much assistance because there is no reception/nobody to help you. Otherwise the room is modern & nice. The view from the roof is super (the house has 29 floors).

  We loved our stay at Seventh Heaven hotel! It was in a fantastic location - right on the main pedestrian shopping mall in the heart of Shanghai, and only a few minutes walk from the line 2 Metro stop. The room was great - spacious, with a desk, fridge, tea making facilities, two arm chairs and a coffee table. Lots of space for our one year old ... what people say » to play in! The bathroom had a shower over the bath, which was great for giving our little boy a bath in. - This hotel is in a great location on a pedestrian only street and close to metro train stations and many shops. The family suite was large with very comfortable beds and free bottled water! At night it was quiet after 10pm when all the shops close and the street entertainment stops. Our luggage was stored safely when we went to Hang Zhou for a night. Reception staff have good English.

  I was looking for a hotel with historical character, reasonable prices and a convenient location. Marvel provided all of these. The building certainly has a special historical charm, but the rooms are functionally modern. To my pleasure, there was very little traffic noise, despite being on a very busy street.
