  We stayed for a week in October, except for the rainy days everything else was close to perfect. Afterwards we stayed for 3 nights at Hyatt Regency and it really wasn't up to L'Hermitage standards, although more expensive. When deciding on which room to have, I was asked if I wanted to see them and the chap was there within seconds, up to the 5th & 7th floors & back to reception in minutes. Excellently located, 5 mins' walk from city shops. Incredibly efficient!   The location is great for exploring Vancouver. It's a short walk to Gastown, Chinatown, Canada Place and one block from Robson Street, with its many varied cafes and stores. From the airport, you simply take the Skytrain to Vancouver City Centre Station; it's a 10 minute walk to the Sandman along Georgia Street. The concierge goes out of their way to help with reservations, and any other request you could think of.   My room and the extra services that the staff did. Like at night, theywould put on my pillow the temperature for the night and the next daywith a bottle of water free of charge.... Can you say wow!!!!!!! - The location was central to the downtown area and made walking to our destinations easy. Shopping was just steps away.
