  We stayed in early August 2013. Owners were extremely welcoming and helpful. Little touches like white bathrobes. Good location for day trips, like Baie-St. Catherines for Whale watching boat tours, and nearby ziplining. At the mouth of a beautiful freshwater river feeding the St. Lawerence seaway, sleeping with the sounds of the water going over ... what people say » the rocks. Very clean room. Spent an afternoon watching the tide roll in and saw frolicking Beluga whales from the beach! - I chose to stay in Saint Simeon because I thought that staying outside of Tadoussac would be cost effective. This motel is clean and safe and the owners are certainly eager to make you welcome. For a motel, I think this place was really good. I was happy to stay two nights. It is close to Baie Sainte Catherine for great whale watching trips on a zodiac boat with a professional and friendly team. If you're only doing one whale spotting trip, do it from here.

  We made a mistake a our online booking. We got another room with our requirements with a discount on the extra. The receptionist took her time to give us advice's about the places to visit near by and a wonderful place to eat smoked meat. - Very clean, comfortable and cheap. We felt welcomed and they are also very dog friendly which is a big plu... what people say » s in our case.   We were just stopping by to sleep in before continuing our drive. We would be quite happy to sleep just about anywhere, so we were very surprised how spacious the rooms were. We booked 2 rooms with one bed each, expecting to share one of the beds. We got one room with a bed and a coach and the second bed with two beds. That was a big bonus for us!... what people say » The breakfast was good too. It is always nice to start a day with a breakfast :) The owners were very friendly. They did not speak much English but i - Loved the beds, loved the duvets, loved that my kids each had thier own (Bunk) beds. The breakfast, including fresh homemade egg bread, was far nicer than the standard "continental breakfast" and greatly increased the value for the money! Although the proprietors don't speak much English, they make the effort and seemed to appreciate our efforts to speak French. I think we both learned a little from each other! :)

  The staff at the reception was very nice (we met three people in total) and helped us with every question we had (about tourist attractions, even gave us the tip that the tourist information office could provide us a free parking ticket; we couldn't close the door, they showed us and also advised us on the location of the next supermarket). My French is very limited and they made me feel very welcome. I appreciated the way the owners greeted my children and had very friendly smiles. The comforters on the beds were super comfy and there were extra pillows! I stayed on my way to Newfoundland and again on the way home because I was so comfortable there.
