We stayed in early August 2013. Owners were extremely welcoming and
helpful. Little touches like white bathrobes. Good location for day
trips, like Baie-St. Catherines for Whale watching boat tours, and
nearby ziplining. At the mouth of a beautiful freshwater river feeding
the St. Lawerence seaway, sleeping with the sounds of the water going
over the rocks. Very clean room. Spent an afternoon watching the tide
roll in and saw frolicking Beluga whales from the beach!. all reviews »
I chose to stay in Saint Simeon because I thought that staying outside of Tadoussac would be cost effective.
This motel is clean and safe and the owners are certainly eager to make you welcome. For a motel, I think this place was really good. I was happy to stay two nights.
It is close to Baie Sainte Catherine for great whale watching trips on a zodiac boat with a professional and friendly team. If you're only doing one whale spotting trip, do it from here.
Wonderful stay. Very friendly, clean and convenient. The hotel is next to a bridge but is set down well below and is very quiet. The view out to the river is lovely and there is a nice patio where we would have eaten our breakfast if the weather had co-operated. The couple who run the hotel are wonderful hosts. Would definitely stay there again.
Lovely building, recently refurbished rooms, helpful proprietor, quaint, with lovely view of river running into St Lawrence just yards away.

Truck sounds on nearby bridge, but they were infrequent and mostly
drowned out buy the river sounds. Owners speak French and little
english, but this is Quebec and to be expected, and they will work with
you to understand.
There really is nothing much to do in Saint Simeon except take a whale watching trip in a Zodiac. Which is why I was in the region, to go whale watching. Job done! However, the company which runs trips out of Baie Sainte Catherine is, I think, more professional. And a lot more friendly.
