  Even before we left the UK our host Isobel was most welcoming arranging pick up at the airport. We woke up the next morning to the most amazing view and fantastic breakfast on the veranda.   We spent three nights at the R&C Santa Teresa and were very happy with our choice for romantic vacation. The room was very nice and very clean. The design of hotel is awesome. The staff is very friendly and this is valid for everybody (security, front desk, waiters, room service etc). The people from the front desk always had a smile on thei... what people say » r face and were very helpful for taxi, recomendation to order restaraunt, clubs, etc The spa is really nice, romantic and the massages are very good b - Perfect for a two-three day getaway and would work well if the beach is not an option (winter) or just to mix it up before/after a few days at the beach. The area itself is interesting and from what I gather has some cool drinking holes and restaurants. One could start and finish a book in peace here, yet 'feel Brazilian', and not feel they need to join the flock of tourists seeing the usuals in Rio. I enjoyed spending time at the bar, restaurant and spa - perfect for a day of indulgence!

The location is very unique, located between the city center and South part of town, it's possible to reach any part of Rio quickly. 10 minute walks lead you to busses, a very famous statue or an often filmed and safe favela. My ... what people say » girlfriend and I feel extremely lucky to have stayed with Leila and luiz - The owners Leo & Leila have just opened their beautifull family home to guests. I felt lucky to have come across this lovely family residence before they become to popular. I felt a welcome guest of the family rather than a customer. Leo & Leila went out of their way to make my stay as pleasant and accommodating as possible. I very much look forward to coming back hear in the futcher.
