We spent three nights at the R&C Santa Teresa and were very happy with our choice for romantic vacation. The room was very nice and very clean. The design of hotel is awesome. The staff is very friendly and this is valid for everybody (security, front desk, waiters, room service etc). The people from the front desk always had a smile on their face and were very helpful for taxi, recomendation to order restaraunt, clubs, etc The spa is really nice, romantic and the massages are very good b.
all reviews » Perfect for a two-three day getaway and would work well if the beach is not an option (winter) or just to mix it up before/after a few days at the beach. The area itself is interesting and from what I gather has some cool drinking holes and restaurants. One could start and finish a book in peace here, yet 'feel Brazilian', and not feel they need to join the flock of tourists seeing the usuals in Rio. I enjoyed spending time at the bar, restaurant and spa - perfect for a day of indulgence!. Wonderful hotel located in a beautiful area of Rio. Very friendly staff and perfect service. Our stay was perfect despite the rather far distance to the beaches - in order to go to Copacabana you have to spent roughly BRL 30 for a taxi. If we are going to Rio again, we will certainly stay there again!!!. Beautiful warm earthy designs all over the hotel... Especially the rooms. We stayed at two different rooms and loved them both. Super comfortable bed, very soft sheets,spotless and clean. The restaurant Terez is also a must try if you enjoy fine cuisine with a French Brazilian inspired menu. The staff were very nice and helpful. The location suited our needs for a relaxing view days, in busy Rio with lots of family. Enjoyed the restaurant food. I would recommend the hotel ,they just need to think out the box. simply wonderful - we stayed in the most beautyful and impressive room ever overlooking Rio and with a view to the Corcovado from the bathtube - breakfast excellent - the whole hotel and its staff is great!. I appreciated everything. Personnal was charming, the hostel itself is really nice and the champagn bar next to the spool really perfect ! The view is really beautiful !!!. On arrival we had a gift on our bed and in the giftbox were two pairs of Ipenema flipflops. Really nice gesture! Fantastic breakfast! Beautiful pool/lounge area. Impressive location within reasonable distance from the favela culture, good decor and particularly wonderful staff! Love the view from the room!. We were allowed to keep our room til 6pm since our flight wasn't til later. This was much appreciated. The pool and lounging area were lovely. Ambiance, design, location. You need to use taxi for go out because it's a little far from centre and other sites and beaches. Price is for all stuffs a little expensive but its 5 stars hotel. The hotel can be expensive, and the pool size is on the small side. I felt the staff could have been more attentive and helpful, especially that we stayed there twice during our trip to Brazil. With such a sublime setting it would make the overall experience at the hotel truly unforgettable. One we were not told there was a fault with the air con by email before hand and that the temp unit was so noisy through the night or even to watch TV. The staff didnt seem to have it there brief to upgrade our stay or offer even a bottle of wine. Lots of prompting to end up with some money back although I would preferred good air con. We eventually got to see the manager very nice like all the staff. There was an issue with the watersupply and we were unable to shower at night. The seats in the restaurant are very uncomfertable. Bit far away from downtown and beach. Perhaps the doormen and staff could have been a little bit smilier! But they were still very helpful. All was perfect.
