  We were a couple with a infant. We were recommended to this hotel by a friend. It had cooking facilites we wanted for our baby. T also had Air conditioner, car parking and wi-fi which we look for where ever we go. The staff (receptionist- I assume she is the owner) was very friendly and helped us a lot to plan our sight seeing. Worth for every dol... what people say » lar you spend - It was our first visit to High Chaparral, but hopefully not the last.The room was very clean and comfortable. Enough packing space. Bed was very comfortable.Kitchen area very adequate. Good outdoor BBQ area. Location great - near the Esplanade, shops and airport. Good price for the facilities as a lot of budget accommodation have shared bathrooms.

  well where do i start straight from making the booking,Tom was on the phone to me within five minutes asking me wether the room i booked was suitable absolute profesional .i told Tom what i was coming over for and he knew i was on the red eye flight and offered me to come straight to motel and drop bags off and he would endeavour about a early che... what people say » ck in .The staff could not help me enough and especialy Tom went over and beyond the call of duty .The motel was very clean and very close to everythi - Very friendly staff who didn't mind being woken at 3am for keys and queries nor did they mind us turning up late for breakfast. Very convenient very clean very comfortable. Shame we didn't get time for pool. Short but very sweet stay.

  Everything about the Port Douglas Motel was excellent! The location was excellent, it was immaculately clean and the staff were exceptional. One of the best hotel/motel experiences I've had. Not to mention that the price was unbeatable! I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay there. - Loved this place! They say more than just a motel ... what people say » and how true! Wonderful beds,clean and great staff! Couldn't believe the bad review and think it was some kind of sour grape! We didn't need a car it is so close to everything. Big thank you Port Douglas Motel!   The room was very nice and clean. As I was arriving after the office closed, the staff contacted me to ensure that I arrived safely. - Its location and easy access to places we had to go to.Value for money and the wonderful breakfast. The room was very comfortable.

  We stayed in an apartment with balcony. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, Everything was clean and really comfortable. Price was great too.   Clean, comfortable, large accommodation, it was great to unpack and cook your own meals if you want to. A nice easy pretty walk into town, bikes available for free use. The owners were just the friendliest, loveliest people we have met, maybe because they are New Zealanders!! - The owner Jim was very obliging and helpful. Michelle (Relief Manager) could not do enough for us from the time of booking on the internet, the follow up emails prior to arrival, arranging transfers for us, all of this whilst dealing with a very personal family medical issue.   I was only there for a night, as I had an early flight the next morning The staff were friendly and helpful. Its in a good location with many eating places nearby. It was a $25 taxi ride, but compared to the much higher cost of hotels closer ,that was fine. - It is very well located in reach of the CBD and the airport with transport at your fing... what people say » ertips.   My husband had just been discharged from hospital with an neck injury and our stay was brief as we flew home the next day. A lovely helpful lady at the front desk couldn't do enough to help us.   We stayed in an executive spa suite, it was a well presented, clean modern room. The hotel restaurant offered oustanding quality meals (literally the nicest steak I have had in years!) along with fantastic service from the staff. Room service hot Breakfast was also very good.   I recently...Sept 14, and 15... had the absolute pleasure to stay at this motel. On arrival I was greeted by Kim as an almost long lost family member and he immediately made me feel WELCOME. The room that I booked as a single room and Kim straight away said that he was going to upgrade me to a larger room with kitchen facilities. I was surprise... what people say » d to say the least and I welcomed the gesture and accepted the upgrade with pleasure. Well all I can say about room number 5 was WOW. Most roomy...gre - The pictures and decor and large Tv and private outdoor area was an asset, but I was extremely excited to see the coffee percolator and ground coffee beans supplied. I have never seen that anywhere before, well done. Thankyou for an extremely enjoyable stay.
