  A couple of things could do with a lick of paint here and there, but we were entirely satisfied with our stay. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, very hot water and lots of it. Nice to sit on the balcony. Everything we needed was within a short walking distance. Docs, hospitals, banks, eateries, and the city. Even the in-house entertainment on Wednesday night was more interesting th - Price, undercover free parking, continental breakfast included, close to all city amenities, cleanliness, comfortable bed. All attempts to make for a comfortable stay has been made. Staff were friendly & helpful.

  We were a couple with a infant. We were recommended to this hotel by a friend. It had cooking facilites we wanted for our baby. T also had Air conditioner, car parking and wi-fi which we look for where ever we go. The staff (receptionist- I assume she is the owner) was very friendly and helped us a lot to plan our sight seeing. Worth for every dol... what people say » lar you spend - It was our first visit to High Chaparral, but hopefully not the last.The room was very clean and comfortable. Enough packing space. Bed was very comfortable.Kitchen area very adequate. Good outdoor BBQ area. Location great - near the Esplanade, shops and airport. Good price for the facilities as a lot of budget accommodation have shared bathrooms.

  The gentleman that checked me in was just so lovely, old school Australian hospitality. The complimentary breakfast watching the morning news was just lovely. I've stayed in many economy accommodations in Toowoomba, and this blows them all out of the water. I felt like it had all the extras that hotels like the Marriott etc has, just a lot more mo... what people say » dest. You can't go wrong. - The staff were friendly and efficient. The room spacious, clean and comfortable with everything we required. The motel is close to the main highway but far enough away not to hear the traffic. I would recommend this motel to other travellers.

  well where do i start straight from making the booking,Tom was on the phone to me within five minutes asking me wether the room i booked was suitable absolute profesional .i told Tom what i was coming over for and he knew i was on the red eye flight and offered me to come straight to motel and drop bags off and he would endeavour about a early che... what people say » ck in .The staff could not help me enough and especialy Tom went over and beyond the call of duty .The motel was very clean and very close to everythi - Very friendly staff who didn't mind being woken at 3am for keys and queries nor did they mind us turning up late for breakfast.   Everything about the Port Douglas Motel was excellent! The location was excellent, it was immaculately clean and the staff were exceptional. One of the best hotel/motel experiences I've had. Not to mention that the price was unbeatable! I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay there. - Loved this place! They say more than just a motel ... what people say » and how true! Wonderful beds,clean and great staff! Couldn't believe the bad review and think it was some kind of sour grape! We didn't need a car it is so close to everything. Big thank you Port Douglas Motel!   We stayed for the pet friendly room, will now be staying more often and recommending to our pet friends. The price was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was hot, and toast was still warm, lovely! There was a folder in the room with good local info. - Being pet friendly was a great thing for us. Not too many around ... what people say » that do this. Will stay there again in the future as a great location and walking distance to alot of eateries.

  The room was very nice and clean. As I was arriving after the office closed, the staff contacted me to ensure that I arrived safely. - Its location and easy access to places we had to go to.Value for money and the wonderful breakfast. The room was very comfortable.

  Everything was Excellent. Friendly Warm Greeting by lovely staff. We stayed in room 60 which has a spa. Room is very large, small stove, microwave, Iron, Very comfortable bed. Just brilliant. When we stayed it was very windy and not a bit of rubbish anywhere. Well done especially for a place this size. Salt Water Pool, Gazebo and Bbq are immaculat... what people say » e. Plenty of parking. All staff fantastic including housekeeping who couldn't do enough to help. We only live 30 minutes from here and will make this - Location was good, close to a couple of nice restaurants and the marina. We had a lovely sunny room in the morning and it was clean and comfy. Easy to book on line. A suggestion to you is to offer guets the choice of having their towels changed daily, or not. We were only their 2 nights and would have been very happy to have kept the original towels. Saving you unnessary cleaning charges and helping the enviroment.

  The bedroom and bathroom were spotless. There were some delightful little welcoming touches like fresh roses in the room and little decorative bits and piece here and there. A few popular magazines were also in the room. The grounds were particularly well cared for.
