Staff very friendly and helpful. We only had a one night stay as it was for medical reasons we were there, but I will return on the next trip up north. Loads of eating places in the area and a short walk over the road and you are on the beach. Great for early morning walks and swims. The Chateau also boasts a good size pool and spa. The room was well equipped, stove, microwave, a small fridge along with cutlery/crockery etc. etc.Undercover parking available at no extra cost. Good on ya Chateau.

We liked the size of the bedroom.
Everything was very clean and the staff was friendly. The location is gorgeous, a few minutes by walking from the CBD, a little bit more from South bank but there's a rental bikes station close to the hostel and it's very cheap so you don't have to take any transport if you want to visit the whole city.

The hotel had fantastic friendly staff that went out of their way to help and make us feel welcome.
Fantastic food, rooms were clean and well kept. Room had a beautiful view. Situated in the perfect spot for shopping, going to south bank, restaurants and public transport.
Highly recommend staying there.

Room looked basic from decor perspective but had facilities over &
above what I expected (tea & coffee, mini fridge, iron & board).
Everything worked & room v v clean. Asked for "high &
quiet" room which I got. Arrived an hour early & was offered
alternative room as opposed to original room booked which wasn't
quite ready.

Amazing for the price. I was a bit nervous after reading some of the negative reviews but this place is a gem. Cheap and right in the heart of the city. The room was small but perfect for a single. Air conditioning, TV, kettle, fridge, wardrobe, iron, ensuite and quiet. I've paid twice this for a comparable room in a comparable location. No hesitation in recommending and will definitely stay here again. -
I read lots of very negative on-line reviews about this hotel; so upon arrival, I was apprehensive. But I was surprised - location was perfect for the price I pay. Service was good and my room, towel and linen were clean. I would recommend this hotel again to any solo traveller especially ones on business trips. I wouldn't recommend it to a family on long holiday trips as size of standard room is small.

Very convenient location and comfortable lodgings to enjoy the sights of Fraser Island. The staff (esp. the restaurant staff) were all very friendly and happy to accommodate our group. We booked last minute while traveling down the coast. The location is sensational and the view from our room was really great. We were travelling with our 2 year old son and a cot was made available to us without any problems. The staff was really helpfull and friendly. Dinner in the Restaurant was also very good. Lamington national Park is a beatiful place and while we only could see little in the 2 days we had we were quite amazed by the area.
