I found it to be very comfortable, the room of a high standard and the choice available for breakfast excellent. Brendan was very welcoming and helped us to settle in well. Our overnight stay was very enjoyable with a hearty breakfast to start the day. Our host was most obliging with information. The property is a short walk to the city centre where we were able to enjoy a bus tour and get a good perspective of Cork. -

Excellent! friendly attentive staff room was perfect and clean fresh towels daily!They reall work hard to please Tea and cake on arrival a relly nice touch! - We're upgraded from a double room to a very lovely room with sittting area with Big Flat Screen TV and DVD with surround stereo system and a nice kitchen.

We had a clean, spacious and comfortable room with a great shower. Breakfast is good, hot food, coffee and juice. The location is not too far from town - it takes about 20 minutes to walk or you can jump on the bus that stops out the front and runs up the main street of Cork. A taxi from the bus station/city will cost less than 10 euro. The owner

Almost everything! The location is perfect, the owners are decent, lovely, kind and very helpful. Couldn't ask for a better host. The value for our money in the room we got was excellent. The breakfast is everything we wanted plus it's served with a smile from the owners. How can you not have an enjoyable stay in such a place not too mention they got free WiFi. I will recommend the place to our friends anytime. Will go back there if we get a chance.

I asked for all kinds of help and I was always very satisfied - this hotel has very helpful staff and excellent service delivery. I am 56 years old and this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The health spa and gym are excellent with great staff so do try them. Indeed I dropped my wallet in the gym and it was at the reception waiting for me.

We found the staff very friendly and helpful , we wanted to go for dinner in city so the clerk at reception recommended and booked us a lovely restaurant which was exactly what we were looking for . Eileen and Michael were welcoming from the first moment we walked through the door. Eileen made afternoon tea for us . The breakfasts were superb. The room we had was #4 and was beautifully decorated. Michael gave us a lift to the bus staion when we left and there was a bus stop just acrossw the street, the #202. The bus ride was about 10 mi

Our host Eileen was a real gem - she made sure we had everything we needed and even offered to drop us off in the city (not sure if this is usual or not!). She supplied us with a full buffet breakfast in a beautiful dining room overlooking a garden, a lovely way to start the day.
Blackrock is not right in the centre of Cork but the city is easily accessible by car (10 mins drive) or by bus - there is a bus stop right outside the accommodation.

The service was unbelievable - from the moment you step into the BandB you are made to feel so welcome. The rooms are beyond comfortable and include lots of little touches such as heaters in the bathrooms and pillow-top mattresses on the bed. Arriving and leaving the staff were very very friendly kind and helpfull. Appartment was very clean with plenty of room with kitchen well supplied, we didnt here any noise from any other appartments any night as the hotel/app' was full at the time.
We will be back. -

Beautiful hotel, the rooms are lovely and you get alot more than you pay for. The Restaurant is quite expensive but it is worth every penny.
