It was a well run hotel,with excellent staff that cannot do enough for
you, when we booked, we asked for a room on the ground level not to far
from the restaurant and bar, and that is just what we had, eventhough
there were only two people staying, we were still given a room with a
single bed and a double at no extra charge,the views from the gard

were superb, and eventhough the hotel is on the Main Cork to Roslaire
road you did not hear any traffic noise, we have now stayed there twice

Each and every member of staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. My room was clean,warm, cosy and comfortable with an endless supply of hot water. It was serviced to a high standard.The food was delicious and the service excellent. Entertainment in the bar was a bonus - We had a great night with most attentive bar staff. I would not hesitate to recommend Rhu Glenn!

There was nothing that i found bad about the Hotel. Everything was excellent and i really enjoyed my stay. I liked the rooms, they were very well designed and laid out. I asked for a quite room which I got. The breakfast was fantastic, hot and great choice. The bar staff very friendly and reception very polite and helpful - Leisure centre was a big plus. All staff were friendly and helpful,particularly in the Leisure centre. Location in city centre wasexcellent.

The Portree offers a warm welcome to its guests and, although a no-frills establishment, it is in a quiet city location, clean, comfortable and has a pleasant lounge with fresh milk in a client fridge for making tea and coffee: no messing with small plastic cartons of ghastly uht milk! -

I found the staff to be friendly and helpful in all areas: from checking in as the first face you see to bar (joey) leisure centre, lady who did my room and room service were all what you would want to make stay relaxing - Swimmig Pool and Leisure facilities excellent Wireless internet short distance to waterford city good channels on TV

Beautiful location, hotel exudes old world charm, friendly staff, great breakfast options included in the price of the room; I had eggs benedict, excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and quiet with a pleasant view of several azalea bushes in full bloom. Dinner was delicious and we were pleasantly surprised by our servers wine selection to compliment our meal. This is a very comfortable Hostel. Easy to find and close to all teh attractions. -
I really liked Waterford overall, there is plenty to do and see. The
hostel was pretty easy to find and they had a free parking in a private
lot, but with only a few spaces.

The Coach House is one of the finest, if not the finest, Bed and Breakfast accommodations we have yet experienced. Dez is the perfect host. We were immediately welcomed like family. Tea was set in the garden, a gorgeous space, and we felt like royalty.
The property is part of a medieval castle. You will immediately feel the aura as soon as you drive in. Please do yourself a favor. If you are in or near Waterford, stay at the Coach House.
