  Great location across street from Retiro park. Room decor was much better in person than photos showed on the internet. Easy walk to central shopping,restaurants, and museums. Much better value than other hotels in this upscale neighborhood. You heard no noise from other people staying in the hotel and the room was fabulous. Even had a laptop provided in the room with free wifi. Friendly staff and if you want to come back to the hotel at 6am they let you in no problem. Great location and a beautiful building, even the tourits on the tour bus took photos of the building! I would stay again and recommend to anyone.

  Wir fanden das Appartement sowohl für die fußläufige als auch für die metromäßige Erkundung der Stadt sehr gut gelegen. Es war (im Februrar) sehr ruhig. Dies kann im Sommer anders sein. Alles ist neu gemacht und zu unserem Erstaunen funktionierte auch die Heizung (Klimaanlage) sehr gut. Anfänglich hat uns ein bißchen die Innenlage der Küche / des A... was die leute sagen » ufenthaltsraum gestört.   First of all, the location of the hostel is great, being located in the heart of Madrid, a few minutes away from Gran Via and all the cultural places. Also it is really easy to arrive from the airport. Next, the staff was young, professional, very friendly and with good communication skills (they spoke English - The location of Hostal Gala is excellent, a 5 minute walk from Gran Via and Puerto Del Sol. The staff are super welcoming and friendly, always ready to help and advise on where to go and what to do. The hostal is also kept very clean and the cleaning staff are very friendly and helpful as well. Although the rooms do not have safe deposit boxes, security and leaving passports/money behind was never a cause for concern. This is a place I would recommend and stay at again!

The one gentle man that we dealt with was very pleasant and made us feel welcome. We definitely stay there again.
