  Günstig gelegen und gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. - Das Zimmer war sehr klein und hatte nur Ausblick in einen Innenhof, hat aber allen Anforderungen genügt. Es war sehr sauber + es wurde gut aufgeräumt. Gut finde ich den Steinboden statt Teppich (der Duschvorhang war etwas unpraktisch). Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich.

  My friend g and I went to visit friends, in the 1st week of December over the double bank holidays. We have both been to Madrid before. G speaks some Spanish, I don'T.We booked separately. I had a single room + ensuite shower, washbasin but no toilet. He had a twin bed room with washbasin but no toilet or shower. WiFi in room was very welcome and unexpected in a small pension like this one. The hosts, husband and wife, spoke only Spanish but were very friendly and helpful. The decor of this pension is a jump back in time by at least 50 years, if you like that sort of thing (which I did).

  Fantastic location (you can walk everywhere from there), perfect facilities and lots of kitchen utensils, excellent and efficient staff, easy check in/check out process, extremely clean, amazing terrace, no noise and black out blinds for great sleep. On the 7th floor (with a lift) so although in the middle of everything it was very quiet. If you didn't close the blinds you can see the sky whilst lying in bed, nice.Fully equiped kitchen.   Although the hostel have simple furniture and no breakfast, we still feel comfortable to stay in this hostel since good values of the price. The location is right in the city center, and it has lots of restaurants, stores and attractions. All the distances you can reach just by walking. He speaks English with a Spanish accent, a little bit diffic - I've stayed at many hostels all around Spain by now, about 4 of them in Madrid alone, and this was by far one of THE best service we've ever had. Super clean. The price for the location is unbeatable. The Wifi was great. Outstanding service by attendant who assisted us. At one point I forgot my cell phone on the couch in the little lobby and he picked it up and left in our room with a note. How he knew it was ours, no idea. (Maybe process of elimination.) But so glad he did! Will definitely go

  We spent just one night at the Hostal Macarena, when passing Madrid on our way back from holiday. It's a lovely place in the heart of Madrid (Plaza Mayor is just behind the corner!), surrounded by many bars, restaurants and little stores. The room is quite small, but well equipped and clean. Staff doesn't speak very good English, but is very nice.... was die leute sagen » I'd recommend this place especially for young people - as it's situated in the very city centre, everybody's partying and so it's quite noisy till la - Location, location, location! Two steps from the plaza Mayor and many other attractions, located on a little street with animation. Staff is courteous and helpful. They kept our luggage all day so we could walk around freely untill we left to take the train. Room was clean, confortable and big enough. Very good quality for the price. I recommend this hotel wihtout any hesitation.

  Absolutely loved everything about this place. On arrival the staff were incredibly helpful. The apartment was immaculately clean, very spacious for 5 of us, and of a high standard. We're approximately 10 metres from The main square and from the main night club where we spent our time! We were in the duplex apartment; great value for money and a perfect bolt-hole for my sister and I right in the middle of Madrid. Didn't even mind the five flights of stairs!
