  Hostal Mendoza is located in perfect place: next to the central street of Madrid - Gran Via and Puerta del Sol, where you can take the tourist- bus and travel all over the city. Our double-room on the second flour was always clean, the furniture and bathroom (with all the accessories) were new, we had even flat TV-set and the balcony. There was no... was die leute sagen » breakfast, but it was not a problem for us, because there are a lot of cafes and restaurants next to Mendoza.Staff on reception was very kind and pos - The location is superb (if a little hard to find down a side street). Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to do everything to make our stay perfect. Was concerned a "hostal" might not be up to scratch but it was like any other 3 star accommodation. Room was large with fairly new ensuite and very comfy beds. There was nothing we didn't like and would definitely stay again.
