  The best value for the money. During our trip to Spain we stayed at 4 different hotels at the same price range and Hostal Carrera was the best. Excellent location at the very heart of Madrid, walking distance to all major attractions and metro. Very clean. Staff is friendly, helpful and speaks English.   Location was perfect. 5 minutes walk from the Grand Via Metro. Reception 24hrs. Maria (the host) was very friendly and helpful. I felt like being at home rather then a privat mini hotel (especially after four days). The rooms were cleaned every day which includes fresh towels (to my very own surpise). Staff were friendly and you can leave your luggage there after checking out.
