  we had a room at the 3rd floor, with a big window and a small balcony looking at calle atocha, it was really nice. the location in excellent. short walking distance to all places of interest. the stuff was helpful and all spoke English in a good level, which is not obvious in Spain. many channels in the TV. there's a room with a washing machine a... was die leute sagen » nd a dryer, and a common kitchen. excellent option for budget travelers in the middle of town,cost us 60 euros per night. - We loved staying in this hostal. The staff is very friendly and helful and rooms look like normal hotel rooms. The accomadations were really great in terms of price/quality. Everything was clean and we had this room facing the street with a little balcony, just great. The location is the best you can have, being 5 minutes way from Plaza Mayor or Puerta del Sol, Mercado de San Miguel, Gran Via, etc. Definetly the place to stay whenever we go to madrid.

  In early Aug 2013, it was very hot in Madrid. I arrived to find there was no aircon in any room due to a generator failure. Too tired to relocate I stayed anyway. It was a very hot and uncomfortable night. The following day, management were quick to apologize, gave the first night free and upgraded my status to include b'fast for all 3 mornings of... was die leute sagen » my stay. Bravo! If this is an indication of Eurostar policy, I am impressed. - Hotel is renovated and is very trendy, our room was good and clean. Cleaning was done well. We had no problems at all. We didn't take breakfast so cannot comment on it. It is well situated, with a tube stop just 3 minutes walk from the door. All major tourists sites are withing walking distance, Plaza del Sol only 5-7 mins away (Prado musem is about 15-20 minutes, so as Plaza Espania).

  Really comfortable apartments!! We had everything we needed for our stay and they are perfectly located if you want to enjoy the real Madrid in 'La Latina' district! We stayed here for three nights prior to beginning a two week tour of Spain, so it was wonderful to be able to start our tour out with all clean clothes (due to nice washer/dryer).   The hotel was in the perfect location. Very close to the museums, plazas, restaurants and shops. It was much better than we expected for such a low price!
