  The rooms at the Chelmswood Motel are warm and comfortable and in Taupo in the winter this is very important. The hosts Odette and Tony are very friendly and helpful and it is no trouble for them to assist you in any way they can. The motel has loads of amenities such as free wifi, free laundry and ironing facilities, breakfast if you want, free n... was die leute sagen » ewspaper, hot mineral pools, sauna, meals you can cook yourself in your room, free bicycles, plenty of free parking, and more that I've forgotten. You - The natural hot pool in your own room was very welcome on a very cold night. The Motel is position well for an early morning walk by the lake & the courtesy bus is a good idea as the motel is a few ks from the center. the Staff were very helpful. Would like to stay again in the summer to make good use of the outdoor BBQ and out door furniture and watch the sun go down and hopefully watch a loverly sunset with my wife whilst enjoying a botle of wine.

  Brand new facilities, newly and very tastefully decorated, good kitchen equipment, outdoor patio, very well located by the lake and the town centre. The staff were so friendly and went to great efforts to make sure the cot was comfortable for our baby and even provided a hooded baby towel which was really useful. We strongly recommend staying here... was die leute sagen » , it doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it is a real treat, by far the best place we stayed on our trip. - As some of the others have said , it doesn't look very exciting from the outside but inside is a different story. The rooms (and we stayed in two different ones) are very nicely decorated and have some unexpected but very welcome extras These included , a small stereo system with an Ipod dock, free cookies (yum!), magazines to read and a separate freezer. The service was friendly and helpful.
