  It was clean, hotelier recommended the local english pub for dinner up the road - great recommendation by the way. Nice and quiet even though it was fully booked. Great location. - Hot spa in room was lovely. Room small but clean comfortable and all we needed. Staff were very pleasant and being beside the lake was great.

Would like to stay again in the summer to make good use of the outdoor BBQ and out door furniture and watch the sun go down and hopefully watch a loverly sunset with my wife whilst enjoying a botle of wine.

  It was one of our most memorable trip to Taupo and the Comfort Inn has offered us a service and accomodation at above expected level. The owners are really friendly and very helpful and have given us an exclusive service during our stay.As a young family with a 3 year old boy we didn't had any worries during our stay and the room was comfortable, ... was die leute sagen » relaxing, very clean and had all the amenities we need. Free Wi-fi , sky tv , spa bath and barbeque facility are few of our favourites. I would recomm - 1. Reception. Fantastic. Friendly and accommodating, even checking in at 7 pm. We booked that afternoon using the wireless at the local McDonalds. They upgraded us to a bigger room at no charge and gave us ice out of their own freezer so we could have a nice cocktail. 2. Lake access. It was not across the street from the lake, it was ON the lake. We did not have a room facing the lake, however, we walked out the door and were at the lakefront in one minute. It was so relaxing

Reception was closed, but I called ahead and Claire organised a room, turned on the lights and the heat and had it ready when I arrived after 10 pm.   Quiet delightful location, upon arrival we were offered an upgrade from a 1 bedroom studio to a 2 bedroom villa, this was a most unexpected and appreciated welcome.. The villa was the most spacious, comfortable well appointed accommodation we experienced in our one month tour of NZ. Friendly, helpful staff, unit certainly had everything required to make our stay worthwhile and pleasant, plenty of towels, extra linen, blankets and billows with no problems to get more if required.   The people behind reception were friendly and helpful. The plug didn't fit for our bath but they soon solved the problem. We stayed in an executive room which I wouldn't necessarily describe as executive but overall the facilities there with the kitchen and lounge areas were really good. We arrived late and left relatively early. The staff had put the cot we needed into our room & had ensured the room was nice & warm for us arriving with a 10 week old baby. We started in a very small room (the cheapest option) and he offered us the bigger room if we needed it with bathroom and kitchenette for a discounted price as we liked the set up and feel of the place so booked another weekend. - The motel was comfortable.   Building was nice, with a decent layout and facilities. It has a really good vibe, and everyone I met was super friendly. Room was good, with a really comfy bed. Almost stayed a second night it was so much fun, but in the end had to move on.   Brand new facilities, newly and very tastefully decorated, good kitchen equipment, outdoor patio, very well located by the lake and the town centre. The staff were so friendly and went to great efforts to make sure the cot was comfortable for our baby and even provided a hooded baby towel which was really useful.   My single room had TV, a fridge, a microwave, plates, utensils, etc. The balcony provided a nice view. The shared bathroom was for two rooms only with a sophisticated lock I have never seen anywhere else. Supermarkets are within walking distance. And it all cost me a tiny 30NZD. Very small rooms but they nearly had everything we needed and didn't need the shared facilities. The flow and layout of the room we stayed were very good.
