We loved the welcome we received. We were made to feel at home right from the start. Tracy poured us both a huge glass of wine and that set the scene for a wonderful stay. Everything was spotless. The breakfasts were good and the staff really friendly and helpful. We especially loved the family atmosphere of the place. The furnishings are very tasteful. You really feel you are in a welcoming house. When we arrived there was a roaring fire going. It's minutes from the beach and Carmel itself. P.
所有评语 » Amazing value for the money. The staff was excellent - friendly and helpful. Complimentary cheese and wine to start your evening, and a simple, tasty breakfast in the morning. We stayed in Room 4 (one of the smallest rooms on the upper floor with the slanted ceiling) and it was more than enough room for two people. Very clean and the bed was comfortable. I looked at a lot of B&Bs in Carmel and this was more affordable than most. Also, it's only two blocks from the beach and at night you can. The staff was very hospitable and generous. My new wife and I were honeymooning and they gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne the night we arrived. They were always ready to do anything to make our stay more relaxing or more enjoyable. The location was excellent because it was about 8 blocks from the downtown area - far enough away to be in a quiet area, but close enough to walk - and about 3 blocks from the shore. We hope to return sometime very soon!. Our stay at Sea View Inn was excellent. The Inn is run as a home from home where everyone is made to feel welcome and valued. Our host's complimentary 'cheese and wine' gathering in the afternoon sets the tone for a relaxed stay. The bedroom was very tasteful and, while the shower room was separate, both were a high standard. I had no hesitation in recommending a stay friends based on my experience only a few days later. The owners/staff were wonderful. So helpful and made us feel so welcome. Loved the wine & cheese before we went out for dinner as well as the breakfasts. Our room was comfy and clean. Common areas were great as well. Appreciated the free wi-fi. Loved the little fridge space with treats. Great location to beach, town, highways. Highly recommend and would stay again. Very lovely Inn close to the beach and walking distance from Carmel shops and restaurants. So nice of giving us a flashlight for the walk back to the Inn after diner. It's also in a great setting, convenient to the beach and shops/restaurants. Loved the friendly welcome, the well equipped room with good reading lights and free wi-fi. A special touch was the pre-dinner drinks and nibbles in the loungr area, which was a great opportunity to meet the other guests. Delicious breakfast too. Absolutelty loved sea view inn. Felt so at home. The rooms were beautiful and beds comfortable. They even put out an Aussie flag for us on arrival. Margot was delightful and so lovely to our teenage son Will. Would love to go back some day. The Sea View Inn is a first class B&B with a five star feel to it. The room was decorated very tastefully and in perfect condition. The Sea View Inn is less than a mile from the city center, but it's in a residential neighborhood with no sidewalks, so it's not as easy to walk to/from town as we thought. At night, there are no streetlights, so although it's a safe town, it's a dark walk back. n/a. Nothing. Just a few minor things -the sliding bathroom door seemed to be off the track and very hard to close, pillows and bed a little hard. The quaint bath/shower was in keeping with the place but was a little difficult to use. Our room was slightly dark. A little on the pricey side but definitely worth it if you can afford it. The breakfasts were simple continental fair, hard boiled eggs, breads/cereals and fruit. For the price would have preferred a more upgraded breakfast. Not much a didn't like but for some people parking was tight and the walk at night into town is dark - but use a flashlight and you will be fine. Some items look a little worn. Be ready for a little walk to town -- not for high heels... I did not mind the stairs, but some rooms require a walk up two flights, one of which is steep and narrow,. It was a bit expensive to stay there but everything in Carmel is. Too hot in room. Also, bathroom outside of room and requiring key was inconvenient. Liked sitting by fire and reading and visiting in living room but they closed it at 9pm. Our private washroom was across the hall from our room. We had a private bathroom but it was located across the hallway. It would be nice if there were hot food offerings for bkfst; suggestions like an egg fritata or strata or a protein option in addition to hard boiled eggs. Carmel weather, expected, and coountered by seeing dolphins on the beach walk. The bathroom was across the hall from us and while it was a really nice bathroom I think this room should be discounted more than the others. We also thought that robes would have been a nice addition since we needed to walk back and forth often to the bathroom. Had to shar the badroom. I could not get the room to be cool enough to sleep comfortably. There was only one room available since we booked last minute and it was very small. We will get a larger one next time. Expensive for what they offer. Should consider offering a full cooked breakfast. Walls of the rooms are not super sound proof. Nothing. Wasn't aware our bathroom (room 8) was across the hall even though it was private. Nt a big issue but came as a surprise. The bed was very very uncomfortable. Mattress needs to be replaced. Sleepless nights.
