  Fuji-Hakone guesthouse is very popular and they were fully booked when I visited. Their staff are friendly and can speak English very well. 2 of them have been to Singapore. The room is spacious, floored in tatami mat and equiped with radiator. The TV is HD. There was only a double room available but wanted to see the area so much I booked which cost double the single price. When the staff found this out, they gave me free breakfast and use of the outdoor onsen for free which I did not expect. Very generous and would definitely stay again if visiting the sites at Hakone/
