  I particularly liked the friendliness of the staff that dealt with us, as they were very welcoming and helpful, plus the overall cleanliness and quality of the hotel. It was also very quiet too consdiering that there were a lot of people staying there.Very good value for money! - Excellent value for money hotel.   About the best single room I have stayed in when traveling alone.It was Clean & perfect size.had everything I needed. Great shower & the staff were Brilliant! It was central to travel around sightseeing & it had the best pub across the street! For the 1st time Ever when I mentioned I don't eat meat, I was offered Vegetarian sausages in... vad folk säger » my English Breakfast! Very accommodating! I - The staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We did find the pillows in the bedroom a bit hard, but i'm sure the staff would have changed them if we had mentioned it. We asked for a fan for our room and it was waiting for us on our return. The breakfast was excellent, soooo much choice and all delivered hot with a bright smile.......

  The building itself was old and had lots of character. The bedroom felt like going back in time, in a good way. I do not agree with the reviews that say that it needs updating or that the decor is 'tired'. It's a period property. I liked very much too that there wasn't muzak being played during breakfast. Staff were friendly. Nice to have 3 option... vad folk säger » s of different cooked breakfast in addition to cereals etc! - Staff were outstanding in service and responsiveness. The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced, and the service excellent. We had to kill some time waiting for hire car and other commitments - the staff were quite happy for us to do this in the lounge / bar area and were helpful and friendly throughout.
