  A great hotel with a swimming pool in a very green and beautiful location. Smashing staff, all very friendly. Exceptional manager - very chatty and approachable. We were even offered a free room upgrade many times. We refused as we were very happy with a room on the ground floor directly facing the pool. Excellent massage! Breakfast was great and when we ate in the hotel the food was delicious and enough to feed an army!! The setting was idyllic, quiet but close to the beach, a small pool ideal for cooling off. Plentiful wildlife around the hotel including iguanas and monkeys All in all thoroughly recommended.

  Thaprobane Beach House was the highlight of our trip and the best place we've stayed in Sri Lanka. We were incredibly well looked-after and would highly recommend this hotel to all travelers. The staff were fantastic - very helpful and friendly. All of the staff were very friendly, especially Nuwani who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. The location was perfect and the hotel itself had the most fantastic atmosphere. It was a home from home.

  It's a very nice and cosy place. Throughout my whole journey across many cities of Sri Lanka it was at last a place where I could have a good sleep. The whole place was designed with taste.   The beach was close. It was clean. The staff were polite. The boss, Mr.Teddy was very accommodating and friendly. It was under renovation so I can't give much comments on the comfort. I believe it will look good after the works.
