  A great hotel with a swimming pool in a very green and beautiful location. Smashing staff, all very friendly. Exceptional manager - very chatty and approachable. We were even offered a free room upgrade many times. We refused as we were very happy with a room on the ground floor directly facing the pool. Excellent massage! Breakfast was great and when we ate in the hotel the food was delicious and enough to feed an army!! The setting was idyllic, quiet but close to the beach, a small pool ideal for cooling off. Plentiful wildlife around the hotel including iguanas and monkeys All in all thoroughly recommended.

  Thaprobane Beach House was the highlight of our trip and the best place we've stayed in Sri Lanka. We were incredibly well looked-after and would highly recommend this hotel to all travelers.
