Having stayed before,i was familiar with the barcarola,but was surprised there was no air conditioning and pool was very cold.i asked at reception about the pool but told it was due to the wind that it was cold.the first week it was too cold to use pool. perhaps when weather is breezy and cool it may be the time to heat it to a comfortable level.

The location was excellent, we could not have had better. The grounds of the complex and pool area was very well kept and a nice environment to be in. The apartment was very comfortable, very clean with an excellent view of the sea. Overall the perfect place to stay.

Fantastic, relaxing place. How wonderful to open your patio doors to the view of the sea. The Bungalows are exceptionally clean, all the staff are great, very helpful and friendly. The bungalows are in an ideal location. We would highly recommend the bungalows for a wonderful holiday. -

I liked very much the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, in particular the male manager (can't remember his name) and Nicola who helped me when I need to find medical help at short notice.
The service and selection at breakfast was outstanding and again, the staff who served breakfast were extremely helpful and friendly. -

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. It was very comfortable and very clean, with a fully equipped kitchen. Sheets/towels were changed every other day. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Every member that you passed on a daily basis always had a smile and said hello. The receptionists were friendly and helpful. A nice bottle of red wine was waiting for me in my room as a welcome gift and every morning, a fresh bread roll would be left in a plastic bag hanging on my door. It is the little touches that make a difference. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, cutlery and plates and glasses.

What a gem this place is! From the minute we arrived, we felt as though we were the only people who mattered. Dany and Joaquim who manage the reception made us very welcome. The best accomodation (for leisure) I've ever had. Location: excellent if you're interested in relax and peaceful atmosphere, close to unique Papagayo beaches (15 min. walk) and ordinary Coloradamar beach for those lazy ones (2-3 min. walk) :). Two supermarkets are nearby (Roper: 2-3 min.walk, HyperDino:5-7 min.walk). Bus stop is right in front of reception. If you travel with children, the playground is 2 min.walk. Quiet location, lovely pools, short walk from the beach. Bus stop close if you are independent travellers like we were. Bedding and towels changed regularly. We booked second floor apartment but not one available and we were offered choice of ground floor one or top floor in mansion (No 2312) We had read that these were dark, admittedly they are older but they were comfortable with all you need. Entertainment for the kids from mini club through to evening events was perfect for my 3 and 6 year old boys.
Rooms have been recently refurbished and were of an extremely high standard and spotlessly clean. We had a sea view which I would throughly recommend.

We liked the fact that it was in a central location, close to many shops and local restaurants. The beds were amazing and had many great night sleeps. We also got upgraded to suites which was fantastic with nice views of the beach. The spa was also very much enjoyable. Linda in reception was fantastic and very helpful. Shame she wasn't around when we left. Excellent member of staff.
