  Hostal de la Luz was a great find. The owners were extremely helpful and kind and the breakfast was good value for money. The room was spacious and clean and had a rooftop view over the river and church. The location was perfect, only a five minute walk to the town, tapas bars were closer and the area was nice and quiet. Definitely recommended! - ... vad folk säger » Lovely small hotel in a good location near the river. Only 10 mins walk to the old town and all the sights. The staff were very friendly and helpful, although they did not speak English and our Spanish is very limited they still managed to give us directions to some sights outside Cuenca and recommended places to eat.

  We used it as an overnight stay on our way back to Madrid airport. Impressed with accommodation and, gardens. Really enjoyed the set evening meal. We don't speak much Spanish but Nieves who doesn't speak much English tried very hard to ensure that we enjoyed ourselves. - Very nice venue, great accomodation and outstanding value for money. We found the place without difficulty, and were able to park on the street almost exactly outside the hotel, even though it's on a back street very near the main town square.

  The location was excellent. We had thought about staying at the parador but although it looked nice we were very glad we stayed at Casona de Lucia. It was much more convenient. The couple who run it are lovely, very friendly, very helpful. - Fantastic host and great location! We had a wonderful 30 degree temperature drop at night.
