  Ca La Maria was one of the best places I have ever stayed at. This is a brand new B&B that is designed with elegant, modern art throughout. It's at a great location, very central and in walking distance to many of the city's sites.The B&B is run by Maria who is an excellent hostess.   Hotel looks like bourgeois residence from the dawn of XX century. Very stylish, old fashion design. The location is simply fantastic. On one hand Rambla the Catalunya, with planty of restaurants and bars, on the other Passeig the Gracia. At the same time the hotel is quiet. Fantastic view from the balcony (Casa Mila). The stuff is exc - We absolutely loved everything about Circa 1905 - the magnificent building with its entry doors, marble staircase, old fashioned lift and a superb interior that had a rich, old world ambience yet still,offered all the modern conveniences that give a place that "luxury feel". We felt very safe and private in our charming, quiet room and slept soundly all night in a superbly comfortable bed.   We stayed in the suite which was simply gorgeous. The balcony, shaped tub, remote controlled curtains, reflective glass, see-through glass, mirrors, and lighting, all contributed to an intimate setting. An addition to the mini-bar was an "intimacy kit." On a practical note, the sink was very large with a tap drain which made washing clothes quite ... vad folk säger » easy. The wardrobe had plenty of space and the music from the tv system was free. The hotel's library, livingroom, artwork, outdoor space with sunhats - We enjoyed the juxtaposition of the historic building and painted ceilings against the modern decor. The staff was very helpful in giving us restaurant recommendations and directions to the sites. The breakfasts were delicious and diverse (instead of the bread and coffee most B&Bs serve). It was extremely clean and very intimate given there are only 7 rooms. We ate breakfast on the private patio every morning where we enjoyed architecture hidden from passersby on the street.   My wife and I stayed in this new small Hotel (six rooms) last week and loved it. Staff was so kind, friendly and helpful. We really felt better then home, the place has got a fantastic decor (just renovsted) and they had lot of attention to every detail and to our needs.
