  On arrival, we were welcomed with smiles and Maria who spoke several languages. For a small hotel which was owned and run by mother Carmen and her two daughters Sabrena and Pierangela, it has been thoughtfully put together, and the rooms were clean and modern. We felt very much part of their family. They recommended good restaurants - My husband and our 3 kids just stayed at the Hotel Ancora Riviera and had a wonderful time! The staff is great and always available to help out in any way needed. We especially liked Fausto who always had a smile on his face and was extremely friendly and very helpful in giving us sight seeing information and restaurant recommendations. We truly enjoyed the Sporting Yacht Club located behind the hotel which hotel guests have access to for free. The pool was amazing and they have a fitness room

  My wife and I were greeted by Mr. Francesco Andreoil ( Direttore ). From the moment we arrived he made us feel very comfortable. He assigned us a beautiful sea view room which was amazing. He also had one of his staff drive our car into the private garage as the space is very tight. We can recommend this hotel with absolute no hesitation. We hope to return soon. - We have stayed here many times, every time we stay it's always such a calm, relaxing and luxurious hotel to stay in. The staff are always friendly and kind (they gave us a free upgrade too) but the location of the hotel, right on the beach in this lovely quiet location is perfect! Breakfast right overlooking the little bay is beautiful and a great start to any day or holiday.

  Mycket trevlig personal, överraskade min man på hans 50-års dag. Rent och snyggt överallt - rummen städades noggrant.   We loved this charming, beach-front hotel. The food was exquisite (breakfasts included) and the service was amazing -- Mario and Carolina at the front desk could not have been more helpful to us during our stay. Since the tourist office was closed during our stay, we found the staff at the hotel to be very helpful to us in our desire to see Cinque... vad folk säger » Terre. We were advised to ask for rooms 31 or 32 as they provided a view of the beach and the hotel was happy to accommodate our request. - It was really a great hotel. At the most beautiful side of Sestri, nearby everything. Clean chamber, very friendly staff, beautiful inside with everywhere seats to read (the chamber is not a chamber to stay during the day). Sitting somewhere in the garden there is no need to buy drinks etc. You can decide it yourself. Very good breakfast.

Delicious breakfast and made-to-order coffees, and the hotel lent us bikes to get to and from the train station. Just a train ride away from Cinque Terre, and, as recommended by hotel staff, Santa Margherita and Portofino. Lovely stay at La Scogliera; highly recommend.

  Very clean; modern with very nice bath and accommodation. Light and airy design. Really loved the upstairs lounge and rooftop deck. Never have seen hotel anywhere with lounge area on our accommodation floor, yet so private. So nice to have a place to go where one doesn't feel "in the way" of clients coming and going. Breakfast was exceptional..esp... vad folk säger » ecially loved hard-boiled eggs and fresh fruit which was something nobody else offered anywhere in Italy. These 2 things really appreciated; plus havi - It seemed obvious to us that the owners of Hotel Genova care greatly about their hotel and about the comfort of their guests. Bright, airy, lovely, very comfortable room. Air conditioner was extremely quiet the few times we used it. Impeccably clean hotel. We had asked for a quiet room and were given one. Breakfasts had a delicious and varied selection of food. WiFi worked beautifully, even up on the top floor. Only a few minutes walk to the train station, beach, and pedestrian-only streets.

  We had some great experiences there with the locals and the staff was very accommodating in guiding us through maps to find our destination. It helped that the owner and staff was able to speak english enough to understand us Americans. Of course it was rather comical when my husband and I saw the sign that said lift and assumed that was what they... vad folk säger » meant we were supposed to put our luggage on talk about laughter as it started up the belt along side the hotel, lets just say that's not what they m - Friendly staff, good location (near beach, railway/road) easy to go both North (Genova, Portifino) and South (Cinque Terre). Although the railway was only 3-400 m from the hotel, noise was never a problem. Good parking facilities, reasonable breakfast.

  Although the location was good being near sea, we found the accommodation very basic. The staff were helpful. - nothing it was an abused property worth about 20 Euros/night.
