  Hotel was in an excellent location, really central but not noisy. We had a room with a terrace which overlooked the pool. It was really nice; it was a bit cool to use the pool but if you did it would be nice to retreat to your private terrace; might be noisy in the room though if the pool was busy; a minor concern though.The room also contained a ... vad folk säger » porch and settee area. The reception, cleaning staff, porter and breakfast attendants were all very good. There was a nice range of breakfast fare. - The hotel itself was beautiful, clean and nicely landscaped...we used the pool and it was fantastic, a nice place to get away from the crowds. (and trust me, there are massive crowds during the day when the cruise ships come to town....) Our room (212) was huge with a nice balcony overlooking the gardens. The hotel was in a good location, just a quick walk from the main piazza. Breakfast was good, lots of choices.

The staff were all very friendly except the restaurant manager who was very hard to understand and decided what we should eat with no regards to personel tastes ie vegetarian, all he offered was a veal cutlet in breadcrumbs for our romantic meal.   We were met at the reception by 'Gina' who was courteous and pleasant. We were offered a glass of proseco in the garden, taking in the view of Capri, while we waited for our room.   This was our fourth stay at this hotel. Our previous 3 stays occured during the years that the hotel was a JW Marriott. The hotel has been completed refurbished and it is beautiful. The new feeling is one of a boutique hotel with an intimate feeling. The entire staff went out of its way to meet our every need.   Great, great, great. What not to like? Very relaxed, friendly and helpful staff. Great view. Quiet but only a few 100 meters from the beginning of the main shopping area. Like all hotels in Capri uptown you have to walk from the funicolare or taxistand on the main square to the hotel. This takes 10 minutes or so.   We booked a room with a view and balcony. Gorgeous. The room in itself was large and the bathroom one of the most spacious ones we've been in. The hotel is in a quiet area and away from the hustle and bustle of the square but still at a 5 to 10 minute walk from it all. The staff spoke very good English and was very friendly and helpful.
