  Made to feel that you are welcome and not just another guest by Ed and Ineke from the moment that you arrive. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed for 4 nights in the apartment which was far bigger than we expected. Bedroom large, kitchen enough facilities to be self catering if you wished. We were offered the option to eat with Ed and Ineke ... vad folk säger » for evening meal but did not sample. Awoke in the morning to a view of the horses in the fields and birds singing. Chickens visited us every morning - The staff and general atmosphere was amazing. The owners, Ed and Ineka were incredible hosts as were their friends, Vim and Ingrid. You felt as though you were staying as guests in their home. Nothing was too much trouble, even offering to pick us up from the airport and babysitting our children. They also kindly waived the fee when we had to cut short our stay at the last minute. Also very relaxed and sociable atmosphere. Dinner each night was fantastic and good value.   We had 3 nights at Le Ferme de Grand Jean in the 3 bedroom converted barn, with our 2 children aged 4 & 9. Our hosts were lovely, welcoming & helpful. The barn was full of interesting features, well equipped & comfortable. Our 9 year old daughter even managed to arrange her first ever horse ride at short notice during our stay! - Used... vad folk säger » as an overnight stop on route to southern France from Bergerac Airport. Good price, lovely quiet location and quite easy to find (good comms and location directions from owner). Could be great for a longer stay, with horse riding available and good access to Bergerac and the surrounding Dordogne area.
