  We toured Corsica by car in early April, this hotel was our 2nd stop having first stayed in ‘La Pietra’ hotel on the wild peninsula of L’ile Rousse. Les Mouettes has charm and character; it was very clean and tastefully decorated. The fridge was really handy to stock up on the local Corsican rosé for aperitif and picnic suppl - Very attentive staff, discrete and professional. We arrived early, and staff when out of their way to make us feel at home: we were offered a room to shower and change, and showed to the small private beach where we relaxed until our room was ready. Our room was spacious, comfortable, with a great view of the gulf. All through our short stay, the staff proved friendly and helpful. A great first night in Corsica !

  The hotels gardens and public areas were lovely, so were the staff. They even drove us down to the town one evening when no taxis were available. Smashing breakfast with lots of local produce. Rooms were clean and lovely, we got upgraded to a comfort duplex so had plenty of space.   We couldn't fault any aspect of this hotel. The warm and efficient welcome was excellent. The website states that check-in is until 20:00hrs but as our ferry only docked at 20:00hrs we didn't get to the hotel until about 20:30hrs and this was not an issue at all. The hotel were more than happy to keep our luggage whilst we went to collect our car the next day and then - Spent one night in Bastia waiting to catch the ferry. Great location close to the port. Rooms comfortable with interesting interior design. Good internet access in the room. Very obliging regarding storage of our bicycles within the hotel.

  There was a warm welcome right from the start - and this continued through breakfast (more than adequate) to checking out. The rooms are really mini-apartments (with kitchen facilities) and so there is the chance to cook and eat 'at home' (there are also tables and chairs outside in the small courtyard).   Location was good within easy walk of all the main sights. Loads of restaurants of various types and price ranges within a few minutes walk. Very clean and modern room and bathroom, comfortable big bed! Kettle in room was a bonus. ask for a sea view though - it makes all the difference. Fun to watch the donkey's in the citadelle moat just opposite... vad folk säger » ! Beach just across the road to right of citadelle and down steps. Walk around the bay away from the port and there is an amazing childrens playground - The location was perfect, the old town, the beach and several restaurants within walking distance. Our room was upgraded and we had a terrific view of the Meditearrean. The maids did a fabulous job best I have seen and we have travelled a lot. Breakfast was good and taxi to the airport was right on time.
