  From the minute we walked in the door we were treated like royalty. Beautiful and perfect location for visiting the old town. Our room looked over the grand city walls, the church steeple and the sea! What more could you want! Our room even had a fireplace! Excellent experience!   The staff was extremely helpful. We arrived at 9 in the morning and was allowed our room. The attendant gave us helpful tip for renting a car and also looked up information on haunted castles as well as asked local residents as haunted castles are not a selling feature in Corsica. We enjoyed their gym and pool - A special remark to the receptionist, Mr Emanuel, that took care of our dinner even if we arrived really late in the evening and demonstrated really a deep sense of hospitality as every hotel should have.

  The views from the rooms on the sea-side are more like being immersed in the ocean view rather than just looking at it. The rooms are a lovely size and modern in design, even though they are simple. The ample bar and restaurant and terrace areas invite yet another connection with the ocean.   We toured Corsica by car in early April, this hotel was our 2nd stop having first stayed in ‘La Pietra’ hotel on the wild peninsula of L’ile Rousse. Les Mouettes has charm and character; it was very clean and tastefully decorated. The fridge was really handy to stock up on the local Corsican rosé for aperitif and picnic suppl - Very attentive staff, discrete and professional. We arrived early, and staff when out of their way to make us feel at home: we were offered a room to shower and change, and showed to the small private beach where we relaxed until our room was ready. Our room was spacious, comfortable, with a great view of the gulf. All through our short stay, the staff proved friendly and helpful. A great first night in Corsica !
