  Great budget family run hotel with fabulous gourmet restaurant.Good location within walking distance to the center of Amboise. We stayed not in the main building but in separate cottage facing beautiful old garden. The staff was very helpful (the owner and his wife are always at the front desk). The hotel was attractive and stylishly decorated and the room was charming. There is a delightful garden area and the meals at the restaurant were exceptional as was obvious from the locals who also were dining there. We had such a good time and would love to go back.

  The room was spacious and clean. Staffs at the hotel the restaurant were very kind. All the concerns for our small boy (renting the arm tube for swimming and high chair for dinner & breakfast) made our vacation more comfortable.   This hotel is in need of some refreshment but is clean, comfortable and the staff were very helpful. We had booked for one night but stayed for two.   The women conscierges were wonderful, allowing us to relax in France andpractice our flawed French. We were able to picnic poolside after hours,just relax in a beautiful house. We had many requests for extra towels,ashtray for cigars, directions, etc, and each was met with a smile. Wewould love to return. Ambroise is a lovely town and is a great place to stay and take day trips to the area's many chateaux, and the chateaux at Amboise itself is lovely. If I were to go back again, I'd want to stay again at Le Manois Saint Thomas. I recommend it highly!

  We stayed in the house with our two children ages 4 and 8. It's decorated and maintained to a very high standard. Its location is ideal for a short walk to the town center for restaurants. The owner Patricia was very welcoming and had left out a basket with pastries and chocolates for us on arrival. Nice and friendly host, who took the time for us. Good accomodation, clean and well arranged. Very nice old house with antique decorations and modern furniture.
