  Everything! This "hotel" seemed more a short-term apartment rental. The room was great, very clean, very big (bigger than our NYC apartment). It included a full kitchen, nice bathroom with a tub (a first in our travels to South America), couch, dining room area, comfortable bed, great lighting, and a balcony with a partial view of the cemetery, an... vad folk säger » d a view of the pool. The breakfast was your typical South American pastries with Ham and cheese, but was brought to your room, instead of eating in a - Great location on Recoleta Plaza with a view of the famous cemetery. Greenery and cafes just across the street. Very helpful English speaking desk staff in this small "apartment " hotel. Every room seems to be identical with a kitchen and sitting area that would make it convenient for families or people staying longer.

  Good breakfast, receptionists, with one exception, helpful, rooms at back (relatively quiet). Relaxing outside area by pool.   This is what we updated recently in the Trip Advisor... Sometimes things don't go according to plan. At the back end of our wedding anniversary cruise we were booked for three days at the Fierro Hotel in Buenos Ares. A couple of days before the end of the cruise, we received an email message saying that the hotel had somehow inadvertently double b... vad folk säger » ooked our first day. Not good news, but already the manager had worked on the recovery plan: booked us into a nearby equivalent hotel and offered to c - We loved this hotel!! Highlights for us were the valuable local knowledge the staff provided (especially Victoria), the bed and size of the room, the rooftop pool (this seems to be a rare treat at BA hotels), and lastly the best meal we had the entire trip was at the HG restaurant underneath the hotel. We only have great things to say of this hotel and would definitely return if we are ever again in BA. We also found the fierro blog Insidebuenosaires.com full of the best advise for things to do

  Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious, comfortable and the overall colonial look very well maintained.   Our room, number 5, was very confortable and spacious. Large closet. The staff is helpful and efficient. A relative came to visit, we stayed in the sofa in the groud floor for a couple of hours and they offered us some coffee (free!). The neighbourhood is great, and the street is not noisy. - Good location, friendly welcome. Efficient front desk

  It was a very calm peaceful setting in a busy city. We used the Ilum as our base and travelled to other destinations returning to the Ilum each time.   Staff were very kind and helpful. They organiced my tour to a Tango place. Obelisco Center Hotel is very well located. Close to all the interesting places to visit in Buenos Aires. My room was very quiet but, as I expected, The Obelisk coulden't be seen from it. The room, the bathroom and decoration were a bit old and oldfashioned.
