It had stockpiles of children's beach toys - buckets and spades etc.
It had a pool and a sunbathing area overlooking a beautiful marina.

The Algiers is our favorite place to stay as a couple for a quick beach

The bay view from the window was gorgeous, so picking a room you should
definitely choose one with the bay view not a gulf view, since a busy
road separates the hotel from the gulf , so you won't really be able
to see any water. Location is good, very close to the beach and other
hotels and restaurants. Staff was informative and friendly. -

The gulf view room was very comfortable and roomy. The room was ready as soon as we arrived (before check in time!) There were two double beds in the bedroom and a pull out couch in the livingroom The kitchen was well stocked. We were able to cook dinner in and sit at the small dining table. The staff was great. I was unable to do the steps to the 2nd floor room we had booked. They moved us to the first floor as soon as a room was available and even helped us move our stuff, that's great service!

We always have enjoyed staying at the Tradewinds complex. The beach is beautiful there and there are many amenities to enjoy. - The staff was very friendly and able to answer any questions that I had. I enjoyed everything about my stay at the hotel.

Front Desk staff was very friendly. Called and asked for early check in and they took my cell number and called me when the room was ready. Room was decorated very nicely and the view was gorgeous! Free breakfast was good but crowded with not enough seating. -

This hotel is much better in person than how it is reflected in the
photos!! Several reviews have said this place is "retro" or
out-dated which is not true at all. The lobby is just brightly colored
as are the rooms - like the rest of St. Pete Beach - since the town has
a coastal / art deco design. Honestly, this hotel really should be
rated higher as it's great... Perfect beach access for a reasonable
price, quiet and peaceful. I would stay again but next time longer!

The people were sooooooooo nice!!!
