The resort was close to a beach access.
It had stockpiles of children's beach toys - buckets and spades etc.
It had a pool and a sunbathing area overlooking a beautiful marina.
It was about 200 yards from a Publix supermarket which was really first class. It was also close to a variety of other shops and entertainment venues over about a mile.

The location is convenient between St. Pete and Clearwater areas (closer to St. Pete), also close to major highways such as I-275 which takes you to many beautiful places in the west coast of Florida: Tampa Bay, Bradenton, Sarasota, Naples and so on. Moreover, across the street from the Treasure Island Beach on the Gulf, Excellent restaurants around, Publix and Walgreen around the corner. The bay view from the window was gorgeous, so picking a room you should
definitely choose one with the bay view not a gulf view, since a busy
road separates the hotel from the gulf , so you won't really be able
to see any water. Location is good, very close to the beach and other
hotels and restaurants. Staff was informative and friendly. -

The gulf view room was very comfortable and roomy. The room was ready as soon as we arrived (before check in time!) There were two double beds in the bedroom and a pull out couch in the livingroom The kitchen was well stocked. We were able to cook dinner in and sit at the small dining table. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They do many little things such as give you a list of restaurants with distance and walk time from hotel. Room was set up well with kitchen, seating area, and large flat screen TV. Recently remodeled with many amenities. Walk to pool and beach in a minute. Grocery store across the street. -

Front Desk staff was very friendly. Called and asked for early check in and they took my cell number and called me when the room was ready. Room was decorated very nicely and the view was gorgeous! Free breakfast was good but crowded with not enough seating. -

This hotel is much better in person than how it is reflected in the
photos!! Several reviews have said this place is "retro" or
out-dated which is not true at all. The lobby is just brightly colored
as are the rooms - like the rest of St. Pete Beach - since the town has
a coastal / art deco design. Honestly, this hotel really should be
rated higher as it's great... Perfect beach access for a reasonable
price, quiet and peaceful. I would stay again but next time longer!

When we arrived to our room after check-in, our toilet was running, so we called the front desk to have maintenance come to our room to fix it, and he came 5 mins later and fixed it right away!! :) Very impressive.
