We received a warm welcome from Dan and the rest of the staff that we encountered on our one night stay. We booked a classic room and was allocated 'The Pit' which was a very pretty, clean and well presented room. Good pub food in the evening and an excellent breakfast with lots of choices. Highly recommended for some country style R&R!!

This is no ordinary B & B but a century old pub situated in a quiet residential area, 5 minutes from the train station and 10 from the city centre, with friendly helpful staff and excellent food at a good price. They were very helpful. After I was there for three hours I discovered the toilet did not work. They moved me to another room immediately. Two days later the ceiling caved in during the night because of the water from the air conditioner. You could not find a hotel with a better location in Oxford. Our room overlooked the garden of Jesus College. All of the colleges and main street are literally minutes away.
