  The Old School is the best accommodation we've ever experienced. The setting is terrific, between the mountains on one side and the sea on the other. It is within a short drive of Wasdale, so it was ideal for our hike up Scafell Pike. Superb service. Lesley is the most thoughtful host I've ever stayed with. Rooms spotless and full of nice touches. Bathroom was very well appointed with more towels than we could use. A variety of toiletries provided. The four-poster bed overflowed with cushions. Chocolates, home made flapjack and banana liquor were in our room on arrival.   being at Broughton House is like being with family in that you have cate to look after you just like any good mum would when you go home.....and she cannot do enough for you,she is super happy and her cooking is legendary.   Hosts Deb and John very easy-going and helpful with good tips even for seasoned walkers who knew the area! Breakfasts truly wonderful and catered for all diets. Main course: choice of full English, smoked haddock, kippers, porridge (best I have ever had!) All cooked to perfection. Room smallish but fine and we had our dog with us who Deb and John made a great fuss of - It was a truly beautiful place to stay. If you enjoy wildlife and walking its perfect. I woke up to see the deer in the orchard outside our bedroom window, a wonderful start to our weekend. Watching the red squirrels and different types of birds whilst having breakfast [ a fantastic Full English] was wonderful. Extremely friendly owners, dog friendly. The stars are amazing to look at . We are definitely going again and have recommended it to our friends. 10 out of 10 from us.

  A fabulous guesthouse! We highly recommend this lovely place to everyone. Steve and Vicky are very hospitable owners and personaly very nice people. One can feel they put their hert into this their work. They helped us a lot long before our travel by answering our questions (best choice of the Lakes tour, walking paths, arrival to WIndermere etc.)... что говорят » . Steve kindly picked us up at the rail station upon arrival and transferred when departing. One can clearly see that they do their best for their gue - Ideally located between Bowness and Windermere. 10-15 minutes stroll either way. Steve and Vicky are the friendliest B n B people that we have met (stayed in over 12 other B n Bs). Invergarry is such a welcoming place. The bed was really comfortable. We stayed in a small double but this was a reasonable size for a couple of nights and didn't feel small. Breakfast was delicious - homemade muesli, jam and marmalade. Best breakfast that we have had in a B N B. Really lovely touches in the rooms -
