Very clean and comfortable with quality toiletries and personal touches in room. A first class breakfast too.
I had a single attic room which was hot in a heatwave, so the owner offered me a double room if it was too hot for me! The room cooled down so I did not take up the offer. Nice gesture though.

Ferndale hotel is on its own nestled high up on a ledge surrounded by trees making it a very cosy romantic place to stay just what we wanted and the four poster room number 6 was clean and the bed was beautiful and comfortable. I loved the opulent atmosphere and high quality attention to detail especially in the restaurant. I loved the gardens , the swimming pool the friendliness and exceptional efficiency of the porters who in my experience went out of the way to take care of my comfort and sleep !!

Very clean and comfortable rooms throughout, including the bar and breakfast room.
Breakfast was very good with a great choice of foods to have as well as an in-room option.

The Hillcroft was situated in a quiet location with easy access to the beach or town centre, the owners were very friendly and extremely helpful, they provided information regarding local attractions and places to eat, the breakfast selection was very good and cooked to order, the acommadation exceeded expectations and we will definitely visit again.
