  Ideal location, walking distance to village, but very private and secluded. Mere steps from small beach. Private boat to pick you and your bags up from main dock. Each room has veranda with hammock - lovely to sit and listen to the waves. Front desk staff spoke English and were very helpful. Even have beach towels you can borrow. We were with another family and between us we had two toddlers. Our children were made to feel very welcome and the chef's made child friendly meals which we really appreciated. The bungalows had gorgeous beach and garden views and overall our stay was excellent.

  On our backpacker budget there hasn't been much room for 'luxury' and while Cauca wasn't the Ritz, we were thrilled with the setting and comfort that came with pushing the boat out a little further on spend. The grounds are beautiful - zen-like almost - and the rooms provided a good bed, decent shower and high standard of cleanliness. The back yard with hammocks and meditation area and breakfast in the yard make this hotel stand out. Lovely!

  This was our favourite place out of the dozen or so we stayed in during our month in Brazil. Our room - with two balconies, a hammock and a private bathroom with a hot shower - was immaculately clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, you could borrow DVDs to watch in your room and also flippers and masks for snorkling. Roger one of the managers is especially attentive to all travellers and will happily show you the many attractions and tips of the island. Rooms with a hammock and they provide many activities should it rain such as a games room and tv area. Plus each room has DVDs and a library.   The pousada is really nice, wonderful location, inside yard and breakfast. The staff is always helpful and gave us some tips, rooms simple but have all you need and are always clean. Definitely worth it and definitely recomendable. - excellent hosts beautiful breakfast great location very laid back destination

Right at the seafront but still in the back to avoid the noise (well, except for the church "bells" but they only announce the hour at decent times not during the night or morning).
